I just saw a rad picture on social media, of the new CCP Baltan figure. It's pretty rad.

Does this one identify every toy in the universe?

Baltan is like my FAVORITE Ultraman alien... how much are those things gonna go for?

This will run you $160-$250, maybe cheaper if you don't have to pay import fees or pay a bidding service.

I wouldn't at all be surprised.

I'm surprised nobody here has made a kitbashed LRG Baltan II figure, in honor of our breathing encyclopedia.

You guys gotta stop exaggerating my abilities.

It's a very cool, detailed Baltan I figure but it also looks like one of several other figures of this version of Baltan I've seen for the past ten years. I would've assumed it was an old X-Plus if it wasn't for the thread title and the watermark. There's not a lot of fun, dynamic large sculpts of Baltan I out there and the Ultra-Act Baltan I has been trapped in Bandai's pre-production hell for five years or so. What will probably rock about this figure is that CCP does not shy away from incorporating electronics into their vinyls. Totally won't be surprised if there's a version with light-up eyes. We're probably also getting clear blue and half-painted variants as the picture suggests, representing Baltan's ability to seemingly move out-of-sync with reality and is the reason for his epithet as "Space Ninja".

From what I've seen the eyes do light up.

That CCP Baltan came out last year, but it does illustrate what I was talking about with the electronics feature. I also like how that one has the bent elbows to allow for a little more variety in poses. Can't do as much with completely straight arms and no elbow articulation.

"Breathing encyclopedia", no joke.
