OHHHHHHH!!!!Larmen is another way to Phonetecise the word "Ramen". It uses a rarer system of phoneticization that isn't used much at all anymore (I think that may be the Hepburn system, but I may be wrong). There was a really old Ramen shop in Yokohama near my house that had a giant sign on it that said "Larmen" in English. So, that's basically the scoop with that. Back when the NES game was made, Kinnikuman didn't have any kind of established name in the states, so I guess they got some dude in the Bandai Japan office to give a translation to the US office...back then, there really wansn't anything to go by since there was no Kinnikuman in the US.
