The wax sculpts of the first 4 3S MIMPs are ready.

Hey Fede,

Those 4 sculpts are lookin' pretty sweet there buddy!

Noticed there's also numbers at the bottom of their feet. This mean you've gone ahead and assigned all sculpts a number or just some of them?

As far as I know that Banshee is unrelated to this project. I think it was sculpted by someone in Mexico.

You are correct. The seller sold several, but apparently ripped off at least one person.

I don't know anything about this but just by comparing your pic and Gorm's I can see some slight differences in the sculpts so I don't think they're the same.

Hi MIMPs enthusiasts,
Orders are now officially open!
Please contact me if you are interested in buying the set of 15 Missing MIMPs plus the Bonus figure Bash Tchelik.
All the figures in the set will have these features:
-Writings in raised relief on their bases with progressive numbers from 82 to 96 going forward continuing numeration after the last existing Monster that is Blemmyae (with number 81) sold as premium into the Nintendo NES videogame box.
-Circles with point values considering the real values that appear on the stickers expecially sold in Mexico.
The price will be 250$ each set of 4 figures I tried to ask the sculptor if we can go lower and we cannot.
All the sculpts are hand-carved by him, with hand made molds and hand finished castings.
This will be an Ultra-Limited Edition with just 50 sets in the world.
The worth in time will grow up for sure!!
When the collection is completed and the edition is all sold out, collectors that have not bought them will bite their hands..
The complete set of 16 MIMPs will cost 1000$ and will be available in groups of 4 figures. (shipping not included)
Box with Artwork and cards will be included (high resolution printing for Extra Quality!).
I don't have the figures in hand. The figures are in the sculptor's hands, he will be the producer too. He has already paid to have copyrights on the figures.
The figures are from his brand. With the writings on the bottom base with his logo and trademark together with progressive number written like original Matchbox MIMPs (NBR. _ _ )
Not only are they customs but products from a real company (his design company).
They will be produced in resin like hard plastic (not rubber like genuine MIMPs) by the Master sculptor that is a famous artist in L.A. and was engaged in past years by several companies during his carrier like Fisher-Price, Tyco and Matchbox to create original toys, artworks, sculptures and so on.
Matchbox asked him to carve 6 original sculpts to set the standards for the first series of Monster in my pocket. That's one more reason to get one of these.. And that's also the reason because the final result on the sculpts/models is stunning and match really well old MIMPs style filling perfectly with other figures from the first 3 series.
Will be included a Box with a wonderful Artwork in the front side that I commissioned to a very talented illustrator that has perfectly nailed the prominent features of each Monster.
A full set of 16 cards with new drawings will also be included.
Whoever is seriously interested please contact me directly with a Private Message.
I'll get back to you with instructions to go on with pre-orders.
All the best for you all
Sincerely

-FedeGTM

Yeah,
This is really a really neat project, and the sculpts look great, but the price seems crazy to me.

800 plastic figures for $50,000?

Makes a lot more sense when you factor in, paying for the sculptor, molding, and casting.

You are right.
I guess that I am just used to seeing most guys taking care of at least one, if not all three, of those things themselves. I suppose commissioning every step of the process would add up dramatically.

But why go through this incredibly expensive route when an extremely limited amount of collectors will be able to afford it?

I imagine a large portion of the cost is for the professional sculptor. He is clearly a perfectionist as it's taken him five years to produce four figures.

There is nothing stopping anyone form attempting to produce their own versions of the 16 unproduced monsters; that nobody has done so is a reasonable indication of the cost and difficulty of doing so.

$60 is clearly a lot of money for one figure, but it's comparable to the cost of a Series 3 monster.

The sculpts are fantastic, but I must admit I wish they were being produced in rubber. If I were going to drop so much money on them I would want them to both look and feel as close as possible to the actual produced Series 3 figures.

I think the value is good. I've seen you guys pay way more for single MIMP figures that are really hard to find, but still mass produced.
These are new sculpts by one of the original sculptors for the line.

If I could get new sculpts by the original M.U.S.C.L.E. or Battle Beasts sculptor for $50-$75 each, I would jump at the chance.

I do agree that they would be better in rubber, but everyone has their own preference. :)

Hum... And what about waiting for the 3D Printers ?  :p

Ok, it will be expensive too at first... But perhaps in few years we'll all be able to produce our own MIMP figures !  ;)

But funny it's been few years I haven't signed on, and just did to see where that project was at now... And it seems it's just became a reality two days ago ! lol  :D

The 3d printer needed to print those figures at the exact quality you see is really expensive. The guy I use has a insanely precise printer for medical use. 30-40 bucks per figure print Im estimating.

Im hoping in the next 3-5 years,  an affordable printer of this caliber.
