Interesting, I have an SD Kinnikuman figure in black as well that I got in a random lot without knowing anything about it. It would be interesting if someone knew anything about their origins.

I know in regards to the regular Kinnikuman keshi series, black is one of the chase/variant colors. Maybe the same for the Spiral Zone figures?

My first impression upon looking at this black SZ fig is the black suited AT-AT pilots from SW. Breathing apparatus & all!

If you send him to my place I promise I won't send him back.... :)

Odd that so many people have an apparent interest in the line yet no drive to know about them...?

I dunno, whatever. Here's what I can tell you - your black Spiral Zone keshi isn't from the two sets (I assume gashapon sets) that are listed on Toypedia. The character appears in the sets, but nothing like this exact sculpt.

First thing I did after that was to look at the related links. Right off the bat, I went here: http://www.geocities...ary_SZ_Top.html and found that on top of the two already-documented and beautifully pictured sets, there were also three other Parts of... some kind of toys. With no pictures to be found, my search ended prematurely, but it's safe to say that your little black Spiral Zone dude and the mysterious inserts are probably from these undocumented sets.

EDIT: There is also the possibility that this guy is from the Spiral Zone board game: http://spiral-zone.com/bandai/os.htm but that can't be confirmed either, without clear images of the game's contents. I can't even tell if the box is showing off painted figures on the back, in the top right corner, or if those are more SD art.

Yeah thats where my search ended. i have those two insert checklist shown on that sight and i went through and noticed the sculpt isnt from either of them. i looked over my other 2 insert checklists but they are just vehicles, im guessing maybe from the plastic SD series, and no figures. I heard of a game but couldnt find a decent info on it. :/

thanks for looking, i appreciate it. i really would like to find out what this guy is from.

Looking at the image of the back of the game box, there is a triangular collection of figs. To me, the black fig at the bottom point of that arrangement sure seems to resemble your figure. The problem is, I can't zoom in or get better resolution to be sure. But my money would be on a piece from that game.
BTW, is it soft rubber or hard plastic?

MOM to the rescue!!! Arn't moms great!????

I had this link that I found a long time ago and was going to go back and study my SZ's to know more about it, but got sidetracked and thought I lost it on the desktop
However, it was saved on the laptop and not the desktop!

Your guy is from the board game Eric!

http://spiral-zone.com/bandai/os.htm

he is on the bottom of the top right corner guys!

Can I have him on holidays and weekends?????

Didn't notice Boaconda's link was the same! I believe it is the correct figure though! Credit goes to Boaconda.... ;)

yeah i was looking at that... the only thing is all the characters look painted on the box. maybe the figures shown are just unpainted sd figs inside. I really wish the picture was better.

either way i want that game~!
