At a Dollar General store, I found a set of six terrible knockoff wrestlers, five of them with the same muscular body and painted on shorts, one with a distinct Mick Foley knockoff style. I picked up three of the funnier figures.

The figures are extremely generic, and the only reason I plopped $3 total down on them was because of how rediculous they look-- I'm sure the other three were ment to reference something or someone else, but I couldn't tell who. The Dude Love is the only one that doesn't have a generic torso and body, the rest are extremly generic, and look like just their heads were swapped around.

While I can't find pictures of these guys, here's a link that shows the faces of the Dude Love (up close), Paul Stanly (guy with chainsaw, but this one didn't have the chainsaw or colors like on the package), and the Snake Pliskin (the guy with the stars-and-stripes trunks, but doesn't have those on this time).

Worth about a buck. And that's all. No accessories in the packages I got, and really terrible paintjobs and basic articulation.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

I suppose the figure in blue with the dumbells could be a very bad Bret "Hitman" Hart lookalike painted in a different colour scheme.

Another trip to Dollar General annnd... a recall notice. Seems the paint has lead in it. Since I opened 'em and tossed the (no back, very generic) cards, I took 'em back and got $3.21; kinda sad, but since these things have obviously popped up twice before (the linked to card and the generic one I found), it's possible I'll see them again.

So it goes.

I doubt the lead paint would've been an issue unless you store your toys in your mouth. We all had lead-painted Voltron figures growing up and survived. :)

I say kids today aren't getting enough lead.

My lead-painted dinosaurs resent the assumption that I owned giant lead-painted robots, thank you very much!

:p

I wasn't saying it out of concern for theorgg's help (what a pal I am :p) but just in the worthlessness inherent in low-quality knockoffs. I laugh as stupid KOs when I see 'em, but doing so in the store and leaving that crap on the shelf is enough for me. Your mileage may vary.

Well, I really want the Snake Pliskin and Paul Stanly knockoffs, as they're just so odd... and the Punk it shows on the back of that one I linked to. They didn't have that headsculpt when I saw 'em.

I just thought the Dude Love was hilarious! It goes great with my knockoff Freddy Kruger from so many years ago!

I FOUND THEM AGAIN! Well, mostly.

First, since my previous link no longer works, here's the Dude Love figure I found: (http://actionfigures...67&page=1#40570).

As for the figures I saw this time, they came with four sculpts, two of which I didn't see before, in either single packs for a buck each, or a decent ring and two figures with accessories for $5. The accesory sets were either a ladder, road cone, weights, barriers and a couple of folding chairs or crutches, a parking meter, a chain with a lock that you could detach half of the chain from, a folding table, and A CHAINSAW. Figures avaible were some generic guy with a headband and a "COME GET SOME" shirt, a spiderman-masked guy wearing black underwear and red pants that didn't match the mask, the Snake Plisskin lookalike, and the Punk I didn't see the first time I saw these figures. No Paul Stanly or Dude Love figures, unfortunatly. The figures are even worse articulationwise than the first few I picked up, as their legs are made backwards-- when you try and bend them forward, they stop only a little ways up, and you can bend them completely backwards. The elbows also don't bend too well and tend to fall. Paintjobs are horrible as well-- only one of the Snake Plisskin looking figures didn't have paint splattered all over his face.

The accessories are out of proportion by a slight to an egregeous amount. They also are hollow-- the chainsaw? It's a reversed hole in the same shape as the outside of the chainsaw-- including the blade. Same goes for the parking meter and chain. The folding table, however, is decent. I could see myself using it as a generic table for decorative action figure tableaus.

The ring is actually pleasing. Assembling it is kinda tough, as its difficult to get the ropes through the turnbuckle holes at first until you get the hang of it, but overall it's kinda cool. Mine has a nice dodecagram in its center in red, a blue square, and black outsides. It'd work well for customising for other lines, such as Ultimate Muscle.

The set? $5 might be a little much, but the ring iself is worth $3 or so, and the figures are priced at $1. The accessories, however, arn't worth too much added value.

Pictures taken from Ebay. I doubt they belong to the auctions I saw, as I saw multiple occurances of the same photos. The body paint apps are different (as was last time). The articulation on the second and third picture appear to be the same as the figures I found today. Its worth noting that my package was packed differently than each of these sets, too. You could see the two figures you were getting and all of the accessories, but not the ring itself.

The first one shows the Dude Love figure I mention above that I'm keeping an eye out for, the Spiderman-masked guy, various different accessories that were avaible in the ring sets, as well as the Chainsaw that came with the ring I got. The ring appears to be the same sculpt, but made of different colors.

The second pictures shows the Paul Stanley and Spiderman guy again in the ring, two more accessories I saw (chair and road cone), and another colorswapped ring.

The third picture has the punk at the lower right corner on the paper (not in the pack) and the Snake Plisskin on the same side holding the muticolored dumbell.

Watching old anime as if it's in style, since whatever is trending nowadays just wouldn't suit me at all.
