First of all, this is not an April Fools joke...

 

I subscribe to a vintage toy group on Facebook and all of the sudden, a nesquik m.u.s.c.l.e. can poped up in the newsfeed that a guy found at a rummage sale. Of course, I jumped on it. I've been talking to him and apparently he has an idea on what it's worth and is looking to maybe trade it. He's looking for a Centurian swingshot or maybe some of the unreleased centurions or Thundercats stuff.

 

He really doesn't collect M.U.S.C.L.E. or know anything about it so I told him I'd kind of help steer him in the right direction and get it on the LRG.

 

As I write this, he's getting off the tape that was stuck to it. 

 

So let me know your thoughts on this. Post your offers or what you think it's worth. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the last one went to Mr. deep pockets for $325. That was three years ago though... http://www.ebay.com/...r-/180905167552

 

Lastly, I just came across this earlier today. Again, the guy already had an idea on it's value and I was just trying to help him out and hopefully get it into the hands of an LRG member for a fair price.

 

There will surely be more developments on this one. 

 

I'm not going to be held responsible for the drama that will probably ensue. Butt hurt, unfairness, hurt feelings... don't care. Not my fault. There isn't anything in this for me, just trying to help out and be a part of this awesome find. I'm trying to get him to set up a LRG account but right now, I'm PMing him on facebook as he's cleaning it up.

Nice find!

Tell him his best bet is to list it on ebay and use the proceeds to pick up those Centurions. Value on the rare stuff is so volatile (as are the collectors ha ha!).

I'd agree with jkaris in that ebay or a board auction would be his best bet. Especially considering the final price of the MUSCLE 10-Pack display that just recently sold.

I agree. And you will be even happier once you list it on ebay and see the crazy amounts of money people will throw at you for it, ha ha.

Can you post some more pics now that the can is all cleaned up?  Is there any residue of the powder left at all on the inside?  I would really like pics of the inside of the can too if possible.

FB links like that won't work either bud (at least, nothing is loading for me, assuming images are private for the group).

 

you can attach an image directly to a post here. click the 'More Reply Options' button in the bottom-right of the editor, then once the page reloads use the "attach image" option to add it from your computer (just download the FB image you tried to link and repost)
