Now while I doubt it was done maliciously, I believe we just have a data entry error. Either when the figure was typed in, or someone mixed up the colors when they identified it.
I hope that most of the figures come in every color, but we haven’t had any luck. Perhaps this is the first, but I just doubt it.

I sent Sandy about 60 formatted and cropped photos of my colored MUSCLEs about 2 months ago.I doubt it until I see it. The problem with the site is that anyone can enter anything they want, regardless of the truth.
However, the last I heard from him, he was busy updating his other site, twistypuzzles.com.
The addition of photos would be a huge undertaking, but would certainly enhance the site.

A lot of us have bought tons of colored figs and spent a lot of money trying to find them. The variety of muscles is too vast to easily say that one figure just doesnt exist, its too overwhelming to catalogue the actual existence of the known figures with accuracy. By my calculations Arforbes has a hell of a job: hes got three super rares now, but so far we know of at least 233 more figures that havent been found.

Mattel product manager for Muscles:
I got an idea...someday when these nerdy kids are in their 20's-30's and they are trying to regain toys/memories of their childhood, we will have the laugh of a century.
Let's make sure that each figure is missing one color in which the figure won't be produced in. Let's also throw in a handful of test market Super rares for them to go nutz over. Let's keep no records of this. Also, let's creat a human muscle with "Super Rare tracking" DNA, let's call him "ALEX." He will be able to lift small compact cars in a single bound! HA! HA! HA! HA! <-Evil Laugh.
Oh, and let's make a horny, steroid pumpin', manko pie eating, fruit loop named "Jason." Naw...go break that mold before we totally fukc up the entire world.
Sweat shop assembly line worker: Sorry boss we have already made one, he popped out of a C.U.T.I.E.S. mold...

That would be funny as hell. The CEO is probably a member of this board and he is laughing his arse off right now.
By the way, I cant help it if your still jealous that 102 old lady was all over my muscles and nuts at the asian market.
So when is the WCMM 2004?

The one what you say?
The one who can change the M.U.S.C.L.E.s as he sees fit. I see the code.

That's still pretty much where I'm at. Busy as hell these days. And I don't seem to know how to stop taking on new projects. I will definately get back to this, so please don't write me off yet. If anyone wants to keep taking photos, I'll keep collecting them until I eventually post them all in an explosion of effort.
BTW, Thanks once again for the images, Soupie!

MUSCLEDB is a great idea and a great web site
I was happy to have my collection be the first collection on this site
now that there are others its great to see who has what and such
also the total #'s of how many people have what fig in what coloris a new nice touch
but theres now a few problems
for starters some of the "newer" collectors either don't know what they really have or don't know how to input it on the web site correctly weather they cant tell the diffrence from orange and salmon to they don't know what #'s there figures are
any Joe Blow can put there real or made up collection on MUSCLEDB
2nd problem The seasoned veterans (Aforbes I'm looking at you) are making mistakes with there huge collections
now i know i dont live with Alex or anything lol but I'm willing to bet Alex doesn't own #189 in Light Blue (Super Meat) sounds wierd but i'll bet I'm right
over all this isnt to big of a problem just to prove a point and an example
the biggest problem MUSCLEDB has is "Jimmy's List"
the old old list of figures people said they had back when, that know one can ask or see if its true or not
all the figures on MUSCLEDB that says theres a full set of all 9 colors comes from Jimmy's being the 9th color
MUSCLEDB should have started fresh with current collectors maybe put Jimmys list as a side list just to see if its as real as it says
lastly there shouldnt be a whole row of the light purple colors just makes it confusing seeing as there are only 5 figures in Light Purple again a side list with these would be nice or a side row
over all the only true way to see whats what and to fix this (except for the light purple figs lol) is with pictures and with that said here is #77
#77 In All 8 Colors
every color but Light Blue to save you some searching time the only person that claims to have a light Blue #77 is "Jimmy's List"
the only list on MUSCLEDB I can trust is my own lol
one last thing and I think Alex can back me up with this one it seems a lot of the figures that we still need come from Canada
alot of the last few auctions where I need a fig or to were from Canada so Canada might not be for Super Rares but It may be for Color Rares

PHOTOS are the ONLY way to prove a muscle in all colors...PERIOD...
Canada IS the key to a TON of the muscle mysteries. Look right now at Mattel MOTU in Canada, Philipines, Europe and Australia...and Mattel MOTU in the 80's, dumped in Europe. This is exactly the same thing that happened with Star Wars....80's POTF was dumped in HUGE #'s in Canada, Australia, and Europe...and 80's Battle Beasts, once again, dumped in Europe, Philippines, and Japan...and again 80's Mattel Secret Wars, once again dumped in Europe (Iceman, Electro, & Constrictor).
So the color theory and the Super Rare theory, still holds Canadian weight...
Does anyone have all 9 colors of any muscle?

I don't doubt the integrity of the collectors that contributed to Jimmy's List, since many of them are around today. But I guess the main problem with the list is the probability of mistakes along the line. Those collectors had to make acurrate lists, Jimmy had to input the lists correctly on the site, and I had to input the list correctly on MuscleDB.com. There's plenty of room for error in the process, but frankly, there's plenty of room for error with everyone's list. There is absolutely no way for this list to be 100% accurate, and there's no way to even make a 100% accurate list. You could provide pictures, but frankly, how many people are going to scan in EVERY SINGLE MUSCLE on their list? It's absolutely unreasonable.the biggest problem MUSCLEDB has is "Jimmy's List"
I view the list as a "good estimate" of the colors available. That's it. I don't think it was intended to be the MUSCLE Color List Bible.

When I got my Green #189 I must have entered it as a Light Blue #189 at MuscleDB. Nice catch man! As soon as I receive your figures from the purchase I will be checking over my whole list at MuscleDB and making any necessary corrrections, although I think the rest is 100% spot on. You were right though about the Light Blue #189, I did not have him. It was an input error. I guess I was so excited when I scored him in green that it got the best of me.

Perhaps a direct link at MUSCLEDB to the following on Nathan's MUSCLE Page! would help:for starters some of the "newer" collectors either don't know what they really have or don't know how to input it on the web site correctly weather they cant tell the diffrence from orange and salmon to they don't know what #'s there figures are

That is a good question, and I have never thought about that before...the rarest colored figure produced in the least amount of colors, interesting. I will have to check the chart I have on that.so which are the farthest from one in every color? other than 234, 235, sc, and the super-rares, are there any in the 233 that only have been found in 2 or 3 colors?

close to 800 pieces within a couple of weeks.Stopped, probably met a new
girlfriend. Then over the years got some at flee markets, bazzars, salvation army
stores.... .Then a wonderfull surprise,EBAY! 6 months ago.
I was thrilled to see that people still collected them. But what I didn't know
is that they came in LIGHT BLUE for the 4 packs and trash cans, the only ones I had
were in my 28 packs,10 pieces in all.So I thought light blues only came in the 28
packs.Point being light blue figures were
very uncommon here.Whereas If I couldn't
find a fleshie in a particular sculpt I'd opt for light green or blue.
OK this post is a couple of months later, any progress in how to proseed.
My idea is this, take the biggest collection(Alex's)take pics of it,then the remaining
missing pics get submitted as they come in by members or by interested persons
willing to lend a hand.Scans would be a prefered method. Some pics on ebay are
not all that clear or figures may have been physicaly painted to the owners likeing
as a kid.I got such pieces and was very dissappointed.
TOPHER.
(PS:don't post while drunk cause you might spill your beer....wheres the rags)
not that it is discounted. We as consumers are conditioned to think"On Sale"means it's cheaper.
