I was just sorting a complete set of Fleshies on my Colored M.U.S.C.L.E. Poster when I noticed that Mattel had made a mistake on the figure pictures on the colored M.U.S.C.L.E. Poster!!!

Where Figure #8 is supposed to be, the poster displays a Figure #10 in Dark Blue!

This is the opposite side of the poster where Flesh #10 is...notice it is the same figure that is in the #8 spot!

Just to show what figure should actually be in the #8 spot, I took a pic of my all Flesh M.U.S.C.L.E. Poster on my wall that is 100% correct. Here's the figure that should actually be pictured in #8...

Well, not useless, just a mistake on one figure. The other figures are as supposed to be. The flesh poster is 100% correct. I think Mattel just took a picture of the wrong figure, as the two that are in spot number 8 on the posters look almost exactly alike in body shape. They probably just grabbed the wrong figure for the colored poster.

To answer your other question, the colored poster I just sold went for $18.50. It was not in the best shape though. I have another in almost mint shape that I will be listing shortly. It's also a colored poster, and I believe had the same mistake, but I didn't really check because I wasn't aware of it until today.

But all the other figures were the same on both posters, so I assume it would have the same mistake.

so its more then likely on every flesh/colored poster

I actually sold my all colored poster a while back, and I can't really even remember what it looks like, or if it was a flesh/colored poster for that matter. Did they make a poster with ALL Colored figures?

Sorry man, I couldn't tell you. I wish I had a scan of the all colored poster. I thought there was only an ALL Flesh and Flesh/Colored version of the poster.

I dont ever remember seeing or hearing about an ALL colored poster. I am only aware of the two versions already mentioned.

Yeah, I think there was just an All Flesh and a Flesh/Colored Poster and that's it. Actually I'm almost sure of it now.

I just finished checking my colored poster, and mine is the same way. The two figures look very similair, so I can see how this mistake can be made. I'm just amazed that no one has caught this mistake before. Good eye arforbes! Anyone who completed their collection using a colored poster better make sure that they indeed have the real #8 in their collections!

that's odd, but I guess that anyone looking at it could easily make the same mistake. When I looked at the pic the first time I didn't notice it!

Same here. That's why I was surprised when I did see it the other day.

Thanks! I guess my Super Rare sense has evolved into a poster mistake finding sense. Or maybe the sense is spidering out to new things...

That is true, about collections made based on the colored poster. I would make sure I have the right figures for those who have a colored poster and used to help complete a collection.

You know.. this reminds me of when I first started collecting M.U.S.C.L.E. again. I had no poster of my own, so a friend made me photo copies of his all pink poster. I stapled them together to make a handy guide that I could flip through to catalog my collection. The copies were pretty grainy however, and just when I thought I had completed my collection, I noticed I had a double of the same fig. I'm pretty sure it was #8 or #10. What's funny.. is that I traded off the figure I needed the week before with a fellow collector, because I thought it was a double! It took me about another month to track down the figure I needed to really complete my collection. I always CAREFULLY cataloged my collection from that point on!

That's a wierd coincidence, because the flesh poster is correct.

If the poster is as badly photographed as it seems in the online versions, I feel strongly that the Muscle UK pictures that Tortle hosts are the pictures of best quality; even when using Warsman's Kinnikudex (local computer version), I'd have to reffer to Tortle's page for some of the fiddlier bits...

I wish Tortle would put those things into a .zip file...
