Standalone card game? Or just recycling images to distribute to non-figure collectors? Hope they don't go the lazy route and only make cards for new characters and not actually make the figures.

Kabaya? they make candy toy model kit, they're well known for their Transformers one.

I don't see why one would want to release trading card when the toys already come with cards @.@

Those are candy cards like Undrave said it.

Like in the good old days of the Beastformers when Meiji released gold cards of figures that already were sold with cards.

Purple-monkey-dishwasher? ;)

I'm guessing that at this point we're mostly speculating, but holo or prism cards would be pretty sweet.

These seem like they'll be pretty cool. I think I'll probably just stick to collecting the figures, but its good to see the line is strong enough to branch out into other things.

Now where's my damn kangaroo..........?

I feel the same way. I'm glad the brand is successful enough to support secondary merchandise, and it looks like cool stuff, but I'll stick to just the figures. I don't own any Battle Beasts coloring books or sunglasses and I plan on keeping it that way.

There is a japanese seller on ebay who has him for $6.80. I'd suggest hitting him up at this point.

Mines are still waiting in Japan too. I have ordered a full case (6 boxes) so I hope I will get a full set.

my brother is flying in next week with his family to visit, so I'll be getting my box along with the rest of my Beast Saga loot he's been holding since March. I'll post some info after I get a chance to open them. I was kind of surprised I'd not heard anything from anyone else either.

Opened up my box of cards this morning before work and opened a few packs. So far I've gotten Killer Shark, Raioga, Big Serou, and General Hawk. All have been fully foil/prism cards, so it seems this is the norm. Raioga's card does have a huge golden foil border around it unlike the other characters, but this might just be because he's the leader so I'm not positive it's a chase card yet since I haven't opened all of the packs yet. They are very high quality cards though! Very thick and noticeably heavier than the ones that come with the figures. They have a glossy finish and overall are similar in feel to your average retail store gift card. The backs of the cards look similar to the standard trading cards with the little graph depicting strengths and the related character emblem (still not really clear on what this is supposed to indiciate?), though I don't have them side-by-side at the moment to confirm any specific differences. However, the cards do lack a bar code and thus can't be scanned using the reader. This makes sense as it ensures that kids still have to buy the toys to play as those characters in the game.

Not the best quality, but here you go. Pretty straightforward, the gum isn't bad but loses flavor pretty quickly. ;)

I also just noticed that the wording in the bottom-right of the card pack seems to indicate there are 15 of one type of card, 4 of another, and 1 of another. I'm going to ask my brother's wife for some translations of the packaging this evening if I get a chance.

Well I believe its been sitting in a box for a few months right? :)

Thanks on the info about the cards, guess you'll be able to tell us a bit more when you've opened up some other packs so you might notice some more differences and more rare looking ones.

Well, I finished opening the box and basically it looks like the thumbnails that elijahfett posted a while back are all of the cards available. The packaging is referring to the one gold card (Raioga), 4 silver cards (Tiger, Killer Shark, Capt Eagle, Gen Hawk) and then the remaining 15 are the other beasts. Looks like buying one box should mean one complete set; I didn't receive any duplicates and in fact the cards were inserted into the box in numerical order :)

Can you post picturesz of the backs of the cards? Specifically Liorga, to see if there are any differences between these and the normal cards, Zebraksu (the zebra) and General Hawk as those guys haven't gotten normal releases yet.
