Heard a couple of people discussing whether the newer and neon colours were more prevalent in Scandinavia.

Well, I live in Denmark (guess which toy company I work for ;) ) and have just picked up a huge lot of mini boglins.

All of them appear to be brightly coloured... it was a great lot that I couldn't resist! Looking forward to them arriving so I can what's there.

Might just be that the earlier waves of of mini boglins in the duller colours didn't get released out here?

A few photos of just some of what I picked up. There are also a lot of unopened packs in the lot...

Hi Paddy, thanks for sharing this amazing find of yours! :D

A fair few doubles amongst that lot I can see but considering they're brand new and complete with leaflet and cards, I don't think it would bother me if I found those. All I can say is, that's a hell of a score you got right there. So its a big congrats from me bud!

I see they must've had the same cereal promos over there as here in the UK way back when. Although the cello wrap those cool dudes are in differ slightly from that of UK versions. Looks like the writings the same but instead of half white half clear it's all clear wrapping.

A couple of questions though. Was that the original price on the top left hand corner of the box? 59.75 seems a lot regardless of whether its pounds or euros. Also I don't recognise the boglin holding the spiked club pictured on the boxes and the single packs. Is it supposed to be Spy Klab from Series 1 in a different pose?

Scandinavia/Denmark, so it's Krona not euros, works out around £5 today

Yeah I think they just wanted to draw it in a pose that showed the underside fir the battle code sticker.
The price is quite high... 60dkk today is about £7... and considering inflation these boxes were quite expensive! I can’t remember how much they were in the uk back then...£5 maybe?

Hey Paddy, I suppose that makes sense. Just thought it was a mystery boglin that never made past the production line or something.

Aye mate, you're in the right ball park regarding toy prices 20+ years ago. Five to ten quid a pop for each boxed set I'd say. Got my first slime toilet from Toymaster many moons ago (back when our town had one that is). Although coz this was around summer of '94 I'd only be 6 at the time, and I don't recall paying for it with my own pocket money! lol ^_^

Strangely enough, I never managed to get my hands on any Series 2 single packs however. Nor did I get any of the boxes shown above. Would've loved a full mix of neon coloured tribes in my boglin collection as a kid. Guess it weren't meant to be! -_-

Well they arrived! Really fun haul.

Now the question is, do I open the sealed single packs or not??

A fun haul indeed my friend. You're mighty close to starting your own little rubber army like Aikola I tell ya! ;)

Considering the sheer amount of loose doubles already in that lot, I'd say keep 'em sealed. If it were up to me, I'd rather they be open to see which were inside. That's the trouble with blind bags. It's what I personally refer to as the "double-edged sword" of the collecting world. Do you open it to find out what's inside? Or do you keep it as it is, safe in its packet in case it's worth something in many years to come? Decision decisions..........

It's a shame there isn't a window in the centre of the packet. At least then it'd be easier to decide as the figure will be on display like with Samurai single packs I've seen on eBay in the past.

I opened them all... couldn't resist!

I'm trying to do the impossible every sculpt every colour thing so it made sense.

ALso you are right, if there's no window it's kinda pointless not to open them :)
