I heard a rumor (about a month back) that there were more Shield battler sets than the ones currently known? I know that there were Shield Battler sets made for Laserbeasts #89-100. Has anyone else heard about these rumors?

Thanks again

John

Do you mean gift sets like the japanese 6-pack ?

There's 12 Shield Battler from #89 to #100.

6 were available in Japan and others were available in Europe and maybe USA ...

Have a look at my brother's site for more infos :

No, I knew about the Japanese six pack & Euro Chargers. The rumor was that there were different battlechargers altogether! I'm sure that's all it was though. Either that or some people got confused

Your brother's French catalog was kewl!!! Also did you or him notice the paint change on the head of the Fly Saylor? The actual figure has the same Magenta that is on his armor on the crest on top his head. The prototype in the catalog shows it as light blue.

Interesting...

The 12 shield battlers in the photo makes me DROOL!!!

Did everyone check out Lords beastformer site under the 1988 pre toyfair catalog to see all the freaky cool variations on the Battle charger colors???? It helps explain the Blue drill and its two other colors (well 3 other colors with the mail away drill......whose colors fit into the color schemes of the battle chargers better than the gold drill would). Sooooooo.....does anyone have color variants of the Battle Eagle, Battle Savanna and Battle Shark????? Mmmmmmmmm?????????

French Kiki, your brother's site is awesome  And I agree Orca, I just stared at those chariot variants for a good ten minutes or so... those and the grey weapons most of the laserbeasts have instead of the gold ones we recieved. I do wonder if we would have gotten these color variants had the line continued a little longer.
