Just saw this over on GPKUG. I questioned if it was true or not at first but seems like it's legit. It really sunk in when RusVan posted a link to the article and then Ericnilla commented.

 

I realize this happened a month ago but thought it would be worth posting since I didn't see any other threads talking about it and he was a valued member of the community. 

 

I bought from Alec before and always loved to see his newest creations. 

 

Sad deal all around. RIP Alec.

I was getting ready to sell a bunch of his stuff.....but not anymore.  Sucks he went the way he did.  I too was skeptical, but after multiple news coverage- I knew it was real shit.

Damn. That is terrible news. I purchased one of his "Blacklight" Freddy Klaws. I have to say it is one of, if not my favorite kitbashes.

I still can believe this! I had several dealings with Alec, he was always very nice and polite. I can't stop thinking about it. Did he ever show any warning signs??

His latest blog posting was in May 9th and the incident occurred on May 12th, so he was still very much into his hobby just 3 days before his death, so sad. RIP Alec.
