The past two nights from roughly 10pm to about 5am, there have been a huge number of teenagers playing this shit in the parking lot of Jungle Jim's- which is a few hundred feet from my back yard. Haha... The first night I was wondering why everyone was wondering around the parking lot for hours on end. Some of them have megaphones. Yelling at each other across the lot. Some start before 10pm! Dedication! There's probably over a hundred people showing up each night. Crazy!

I work a register at a grocery store, tonight i notice a bunch of different groups walking in our parking lot with cell phones in hand coming to our door. Finally a guy i work with was in a group and i asked whats up? Sure enough its this pokemon game and theres some golden bird and some sign in-game right by our door.

This has become a pretty good social app. My phone can't run it. And my phone's in to good of shape to justify buying a new one just for a game. So I'v done the next best thing. I restarted my favorite Pokemon gen Soul Silver.

That sucks but maybe walking around in parks at 2AM holding your $500 dollar phone out in front of you isn't the safest idea. 

 

Unless you're Draznar. Canadians can probably catch a jigglypuff and get maple syrup from a tree while petting a moose and not have to worry about punks with handguns at all.

Can confirm. My fridge is fully stocked and nobody has had anything bad happen via playing Pokemon Go. (Yet.)

Also: I imagine you folks have this in the states too, but in Canada your provider can blacklist your phone if it is stolen. I'm not too into phones, but when that happens the phone becomes totally unusable on any network. (Maybe there's a way around it, especially on an Android.)

 

Stealing a phone is near to the worst thing you can do because it will get you into shit for either little or no payout at all.

So it officially came out over here yesterday I believe. I was very quickly warned by my wife that if I downloaded it, then she'd more than likely divorce me. Needless to say I haven't bothered, but a combination of flooded Facebook/Instgagram feeds and the children at work constantly going on about it - I feel like I have it anyways

There's been 3 car accidents in the Jugle Jims parking lot since last week, and one person got there car stuck on a boulder that is by the corner when turning......tow truck came and ripped it off the rock haha.....PokemanGo just cost these people a ton of money for playing a free game Hahahaha.....
I'm curious- how much more stupid people will let themselves become? How much more mindless? Probably until they are immobile with computers in their heads!
Oh- I forgot about the almost deadly car crash on I-71, driving 20mph on highway, came to a stop in the road to "catch one" and almost killed 2 families (for something that does not even exist!)

I Agree Sixth. I work in a huge hospital and friggin doctors are going out to the parking lot to catch fake monsters!!! Wtf is that? People going into other people's yards is going to get messy too! Great idea but people are really letting things like this make them do dumb things!

I like this game, what bugs me about it is I live in a rural city, pokestops and gyms are rare and hard to find.  Whereas my friend who lives in NYC sent me a pic and there are literally thousands of them within a block of his office.  I can't compete with my crappy location.
