Was Cosmix and/or Exogini Kinnikuman sculpts licensed from Bandai (or Mattel for that matter), or where they done "in their back"?

Just curious about it ;)

No, they were bootlegs. Yudetamago and Bandai received zero royalties.

That make them even cooler then ;)

I'm still a bit surprised; they look like quite a big line (Exogini particularly Exogini) to pass under a toy giant nose. A foreign one, but a giant nevertless...

Why does that make them cooler?
Yude isn't exactly a soul crushing corporation. They deserve to be compensated. I like Exogini, but Yude and Bandai got screwed.

Indeed, indeed! I just mean't that that make them, somehow, dirty little bootlegger toys with a trashy glow.
But cutting off royalties from Panosh, Bandai, Mattel, Kinnikuman guys or any other creator involved is indeed bad.

Knock-off can have this guilty fun but still be legit, like Thundarr, He-Man and The Beasmaster toward Conan or Weird Ball Wrestler in regards to M.U.S.C.L.E (to stay in the LRG realm). Straight bootleg is indeed bad and reprehensible.
