I was looking at my "Lee's Guide to Battle Beasts" and saw there was a page with some Glitter Weapons!
Does Anyone have info on these or there Origins?

Those particular mentioned weapons belong to the Greek Battle Beasts. The Spanish BB have Golden weapons as well but those are more solid Gold in general and the glitter versions seem to have been around more amongst the GBB weapons. Not sure if that was just an accidental run but there´s quite some variation in Gold colors within the GBB weapons because some look more translucent while others are more solid like the Spanish ones whereas there´s also a few with something that looks like glitter in them.

the mail aways were blue with no glitter
I believe they're referring to the mail-away BDC weapons.

Heres some pics of the glitter weapons
The second picture you can see the difference in darkness
-Left being the darker gold
-Right is the translucent gold
Its hard to see in the third pic, but both the dark/clear weapons have a glitter to them

so more or less hit or miss on the glitter? I never noticed this back in the day, just figured it was a difference in production runs.

no, they're the Greek versions of the weapons. there are variants in weapon color for normal weapons but most appear to be related to fading and/or other storage-related conditions. most noticeable seems to be the green-ing of the S2 golden color weapons

Off topic but does anyone have scans of Lee Guides 1 and 2?
Id like to read them i nearly bought both last year but left it because i never released it was just in toy fair or something and the dude wanted $20 each unshipped.
Also theres some very dark silver Greek weapons compared with series one silvers they are pretty different I've noticed.
