[Sublime]

Okay, so I have this latex..thing? I guess "thing" is probably the best term to describe it. I've had it called a hat, but it is way to big to fit any normal human's head. I'm not sure what it is supposed to be used for, but it a hollow latex statue of sorts depicting Sting riding a rocket. I found the 1999 WCW copyright on the back of the rocket, so I know its an officially licensed product, but I haven't been able to find any record of its existence. My guess is that it is a prototype of something, but that's just because I am out of ideas. Please help!

I am the lucky one, now I get to have fun trying to identify it. It is kind of ridiculous, but I am a huge Sting fan, so Its hard for me to pass up something I might never see again!

Honestly, that's the first thing that came to my mind just because of the size! Maybe its some weird dust cover for the pigskin, haha!

Did you ask the members of the Sting fan club?

 

Can you add a picture of the mark?  I am wondering if it is legit. Is it carved-in as part of the sculpt or stamped-in?  Not that it really would make a difference in proving legitimacy.  I could sculpt Mickey Mouse and put © Disney on it.  Doesn't mean Disney approved of it or had anything to do with it.  I can even imagine someone adding such a © to their one-off sculpt with the best of intention. As if they are adding that mark and trying to say "I don't own Sting! WCW does! Don't sue me, guys!" The point being that the item was unapproved, a one-off, and not mass produced, but still bearing the © that seems appropriate. 

 

Or they added the copyright to intentionally be misleading.  Or it IS legit.  Someone out there knows what this is!

something I noticed with the sting on is that there seems to be fins on the back of it. could it be some kind of power bomb rubber ducky?
