Ok, so I recently started collectin Boglins again, they are my true love for collecting.
And in case you guys are interested, here's the collection so far (almost complete'ish)

Attached File  image.jpg   125.28K   14 downloads

But my interests lie with my recent delivery, Bonk!

I've never heard or seen Dwork being called Bonk, and his box art is something I have
Never seen before too.
Something about him just don't feel right to me?

Here he is with some box art:

Attached File  image.jpg   116.77K   24 downloads
Attached File  image.jpg   107.9K   20 downloads

Surely Boglins were discovered in a swamp, and not somebody's old house?

In the next 2 photos, Dwork is on the left, and Bonk on the right.
Bonks eyes and mouth paint are both different in colour!

Attached File  image.jpg   82.64K   20 downloads
Attached File  image.jpg   77.39K   12 downloads

As a huge Boglin fan since childhood, I find this very exciting and confusing.

Any help would be most appreciated guys.

Biz ;)

Where did you buy him from? If from another country it could be a regional thing

Not sure if you're on Facebook, but while I'm thinking about it the creator or sculptor, (can't recall which), is on facebook and possibly even here. Shoot the guy a message and see what he has to say, assuming he knows anything.

Another member will have to help you with his name though!

I got him from eBay UK, and I believe the creator was Tim Clarke.
I think that's a great idea to get in touch, who knows, he may actually answer me lol.

Thanks for your reply bro ;)

Yep, when it´s about Boglins I´d say Tim Clarke is the guy to go to, as former co-creator of the Boglins, and he also doesn´t seem to have any problems answering questions as he´s pretty active on Instagram as well (@timclarketoys). I believe there´s also been some kind of an interview with him out here somewhere. Give it a shot!

Wished we had a guy like him out in the Battle Beasts world as well......

I've seen him commenting a couple of times on the Facebook group, Mini-figure Militia, so who knows? It's definitely worth a shot! (Assuming another person here can't answer it for you.)

Thanks for the replies and info guys, I believe his name is Bonk because he is a Canadian variation, but as for the box art, that is still puzzling me. I have never seen that before.

I think I will try messaging him tonight, seen as I am in the UK it will be a more realistic time for him to reply lol.

But ALL of your help is appreciated guys, thank you ;)

Hey again Biz,

Yeah bonk is part of the Canadian release, they had their own names for all 3 original large ones, as well as the 6 small ones, as well as their own unique backing to the box, whereas the American and European Mattel release had identical backing to each other with only the names of the boglins being different.

In regards to paint and eye colours being different, even some boglins released in the same place had varying colours, for example I have a European Flurp with green paint instead of the usual orange, Boglins have a habit of not having a strict standard and there are many subtle variations.

I have attached a few photos (Bonk has a Dwork tag and Squit has a Vlobb tag purely for display purposes)
