Hello everyone...I'm gonna get into resin casting minis soon...I need some advice/tips from those experienced in the process. First, how do the experienced casters here prefer to remove the how should i say...More difficult mini figures from the mold without damaging the mold for future use? For example...A figure like MUSCLE#221 New Sunshine might be a little easier because his arms are down by his sides. Whereas others who have a more arms up, ready for battle pose might not be able to be just pulled out without tearing the mold...Not to mention other more complicated poses. For the ones that can't be just pulled out, do you just try your best to cut the mold open as evenly as possible and hope you don't mess it up? Also...Does anyone know of an opaque red resin dye that is "blood red" when cured?

If you are doing a block mold you need to cut the figure out, giving you a way to remove the figure easily. I only do two part molds so I don't have that problem.
YouTube has tutorials for everything on how to make a block mold or a two-part mold, casting, etc...

Thanks for the YT link Papyrus...And the tips Ericnilla...It's appreciated...I think I'll go with your advice Eric, and go with a 2 part mold...Seems like the best option for casting figures of varying shapes/proportions with the least hassle...
