Hi all, I'm new to Gormiti collecting and can't really find information on these.

http://cgi.ebay.com/...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I searched around the topics on here and didn't find anything either, so sorry if it's already been addressed somewhere and I missed it. Can anyone tell me if these are legit figures? Are they bootlegs? Any info would be much appreciated! Thanks!!

Fairly sure those are "unofficial" figures. Other figures from this seller have come up in discussion on the forum previously. They do seem to be produced using the legit moulds and plastics, it's quite common for factory workers to run up a few extra figures for their own purposes.

I really wonder if the proliferation of the China Factory escapees help lead to the downfall of Gormiti in the States. I see other escapees/bootlegs, for Hasbro items all the time, but in there case I always thought it was just a bit of market research on there part. Kinda a gorilla marketing campaign if you will, or covert data gathering.

Leaked Hasbro toys from China have never been intentional, and I'm not seeing how Gormiti from China of sets that weren't even planned for release in the States yet would lead to Gormiti's failures in the US. The line had its fair share of issues to accomplish that on its own.

Well what you said makes alot of sense. I was just wondering if people went to Ebay for cheap Chinese Gormiti instead of the US stores while the product was fresh.
