Series 3 was handled just like 1 & 2. Fans submitted ideas and fans voted. There was a little snafu of grumbles because people were having friends.family register and vote as first time posters but that's not against the posted rules, etc. In the end, 5 awesome designs were chosen and another awesome 5 rounded out the Top Ten. I can't find a pix of all the winners but I'll keep looking and post one if found.

I hope to submit something for Series 4 consideration - I'm still a complete noob to sculpting minifigs but I'm loving the challenge.

To help out Stratos there, here's Series 3's progression thread from October Toys, including the five winners:

http://www.octoberto...hp?f=40&t=10518

I kind of think it's the weakest set so far, but Pugnacious alone is worth buying the set for me, and Ten Can is now my imaginary friend, I've given him a personality and we go on long walks together :D.

Poor guy also looks like a condom that would be really really hard to put on.

Someone else told me that also.. I toyed with the idea of him, having a balloon body. but felt it took away from the balloon aspect of him. but now he looks like a condom.. lol.. Maybe i should change it up and focus on condom man.. ? maybe put some spikes on him. make him one of thoes rough riders magic condoms.. lol

Yeah, I first mentioned he looked like a condom over on October Toys. I like the green version better than the original pink.

My two submissions unless I get the Living Candle sculpt far enough along to use instead of the drawing.

I don't know man. I hear the guy who submitted him is a Taco Bell addict. Those wrappings are probably made from Chalupa skins.

Cat mummy gets props from me for being an original idea and not hackneyed derivative shit like 75% of them. Is it doable on that scale though? That would be my worry.

I like the half-skeletal dino, it's a really solid design.

The salt dough guy who tried (and failed) to rig the Series 2 voting is back. Not only has he resubmitted some of his own lame designs, but he's sculpted one for someone else too. Except he's taken a design that was in a kick-ass kung fu pose and given it the same crappy rigid pose that all his own figures have. Comedy.

Maybe we'll see Mag-Tut make it through voting!

Kind of a bummer that Twist Kid is already sold as a mini fig.

It was a really strong design. Haha

That would be the death knell for the series, I think.

Yeah fossil freak is one of my faves. I just hope it gets sculpted by someone who can pull off the same look and feel of the drawing.
