Also, I'm guessing you plan on making casts of him, yeah?

Do you plan on making him more rubbery and flexible, like Japanese Keshi figures, or some harder plastic?

I probably will make some casts. To do a flexible Keshi like figure you need to pressure cast, and I'm not setup for that right now. :-( But I will look onto it.

As you guys can see I started to add some details here and there. Dug the eyes out.

In the last picture (lower right) you guys can see what I meant by Zombie-ish posture. He's kinda moving his hips and shoulders in opposite direction as he walks. I thought it looks neat.

Day something: HA! WIP pic of the sculpt.

Changed the design on the face a bit, he was looking too happy.

My wife suggested a droop the jaw sideways, and I love it.

I've started the details on the face. I'm thinking about giving it decomposing flesh look.

Kinda looks like the necronomicon.
Just my opinion but I feel it's moving to far away from the original drawing. I liked the melting popsicle more

I think I agree with Bones. I liked the look of a skull face with stuff dripping all over it, yknow?

The idea is still to do the drips. I just felt that the face was a little too cute without some kind of creepy texture.

Update. The build is almost finished. I think I have all the detail I want to sculpt on the face, if I keep adding it might look too busy. Gonna do the other arm now and then move on to the back. I think there's enough space between the arms to do the sticky drip, but I was thinking about scratching that since ice cream doesn't really stretch that way-that's more of a cheese thing.

Here's a pic.

And what do you guys think about the drips inside the eye sockets? They look like pupils. I like it.

sheeyit.

I like the drips, but I would suggest keeping one and make the other dripping out of the socket like a dangling eye.

Also if I am not out of line to say this, I feel the teeth are too defined/real. The original sketch made it seem like the face was an illusion created by the melting/dripping of the popsicle itself. I would like to see what it would look like if a few of the teeth were created from being drips. That is just me though, I don't know nothin' bout zombie-sicles.

All valid points. Thanks for feedback.

Lookin' good!  I too thought from the original drawing that the face was more-or-less an illusion or just formed from the melting Popsicle.  Any semblance of "teeth" would just be a result of the dripping and not meant to suggest that it had real teeth any more than it had real eyes.  This is just the impression that I got from the original drawing.

On the other hand, the teeth look fine -- especially if your vision was for it to have actual teeth all along!  Either way, it probably does not warrant the effort of a re-sculpt. Can't wait to see the next update!

Thanks. I know what you mean (an illusion), but the thing is that it wasn't looking creepy enough. But I agree, I think I made them a little too realistic. And about the "warrant a re-sculpt" I must confess, in more than one occasion, I've scrapped entire figures because I was not happy with the pose of dimensions. Looking at a figure in 2D sometimes it doesn't translate into a sculpted figure. :-)

Don't scrap it! LOL.  I think you nailed it.  The teeth just look too perfect!  Like a Popsicle came alive and was lurking around the countertop and found some dentures.  Maybe just make the teeth a little less symmetrical or perfectly formed.  The rest of the figure looks amazing!

I'm probably just jelly that Popsicko has better looking teeth than I do!

Hi Peeps! Here's the quatro-uno-uno on the build.

Most of the detail that I want on the figure is done. Some minor cleaning is still to be done, but not much. Still debating to add the drips that go from the main body to the arms, but most likely they will happen.

Here's what it looks like so far.
