He is just a hair taller than the Neptune Man M.U.S.C.L.E.

I still need to give him a light sanding and then a nice flat coat of base paint. Probably white. Then I'll try my hand at painting him.

He is some sort of beast who is half tree/half animal.

Nice!

All you need now is to have TGB make a mold of it, and then cast one in clear green.

Pretty effin' sweet!!!

Only problem is the negative space areas under his sideburns....Can't cast it like that... Also, the horn on his head has to be little less pointed and blunt (slightly), it is too thin...

Great job....

That is kewl! He should have a special playset and a custom ring for where he lives.... It would be hella-cool.

Marty, dont forget the back where the figure's hair is. That stuff would get caught in the cracks and pull the figure apart.

I think it is very cool! It's too bad it cannot be cast with those space areas. That would be a sweet arse figure to have as a clear custom or one of your other crazy colors Marty. Nice job Johnny! Very cool indeed! I think you may have just inspired me to try the same thing! I actually have an idea that may be castable for Marty!

very cool Johnny!

I'm gonna try to sculpt a figure out of mild cheddar - that way, if it doesnt come out right, i can put it on a triscuit® brand whole wheat cracker and ingest it.

I like that charcoal black color. In fact, it would have looked kewl that black with lava red/orange eyes.

If he is a swamp/moss monster... I would use shades of green and hardly any brown, I would also loose the white eyes and go with lime/neon green eyes. Keep it monochromatic.

Just my opinion. Take a photo of him wrestling with a G1 Muscle...

He is a great sculpt!!!

Kick arse! It looks cool painted but I think I like the solid black variant  even more. That first pic with the silvery-black look is the shizznit--cool face too.

Thanks for the coloring tips Marty. I was debating on which color to do the eyes, and green was the main choice other than white.

Also, can you cast a mold from a wax figure.

What I am thinking is this. Super Sculpey is way to soft to make any intricate details, unless you cook it first. And then carving the details is hit and miss. But... If I did the main body in sculpey, cooked it, and then dipped it in wax, then I would have a softer but easy to detail outer casing to work with for a prototype.

Just a thought.

I hate wax!

I would use this instead.

Jon
I actually think that the black finnish look's better.
seem's to give it a sort of cast metal look , i like it alot.

Remember those Muscles we tampered with , and a couple were done in a smooth jet black :cow: ?
It reminded me of those , it would have been sweet if you took a pic with all 3.

sorry for the silly question but :)

what is the stuff you made him from? , is it a type of craft plastic you mold then it set's.

I just wanted to bump this thread for newbs. This is the only custom MUSCLE from scratch I have ever seen.

You did a great job, Jkaris. Too bad TGB never got around to making one.

I was curious what material you used to make this with. However, it looks like TGB recommends Castilene. (Is that what he used to make his GodBeasts?)

I think I'm going to try my hand at making a custom figure.

This is a really good idea. Since I am probably not a good sculpter, I was thinking of making a kitbash figure from other M.U.S.C.L.E. parts. The first version would be glued together and the joints probably smoothed out with sculpy. Then if the final version was good enough, maybe Marty could mold the sucker and make customs!

I have thought about maybe using a bar of soap to carve something out. TGB, would that work in a mold?
