Awesome!!! Certainly hope they are released outside of SDCC.

What confuses me is the boxes say #1 and #2 Masters of the Universe Set... Are they the same set though? What differentiates the sets? The color?

Definitely need those other 12 figures. And hopefully they will be released in flesh.

I agree with screamer. I want the new sculpts in flesh. Maybe they'll release smaller packs of the new ones.

Yeah, from the pictures it looks like the color is what differentiates them.

Argh these con exclusives kill me! Who's goin' and wants to grab me a yellow set? :)

I am sure series 2 will see a general release in flesh, and probably the multicolor cans. It seems like they are just doing the non-classic colors for con exclusives (black, clear green, dark green, yellow).

Looks like they covered all the rest of the absolute essentials in series 2! Stoked to see some I didn't expect quite yet like Sorceress and Grayskull.

I am sure these will be like hen's teeth.

It's quite hard to understand such artificial scarcity, I have no doubt that they could sell literally millions of these if they honestly wanted to.

Very cool. Makes me wish I liked MOTU more. I can't remember what other licenses that had planned for MUSCLE treatment, but I think Mega Man is the one I was looking forward to the most.

I have never heard that phrase before!! "Hen's Teeth".

I have read that phrase somewhere, at one time, or another. It is probably something that is used more commonly over the pond.

Around here we say "Unicorn Shit".

Mattel is crazy for not putting this shit on retail shelves.

I don't know a single kid who wouldn't die to own a set of mini figures like this. They could create them on a bigger scale and drop the costs with volume. Win/win for Mattel and collectors alike.

Heads up that the leftovers of these from SDCC, as well as the multicolor cans, are now up in the Super7 store:

So my buddy picked up a 24-pack for me at SDCC. The figures are great, and the new sculpts are better/bulkier than the more puny sculpts from series 1. Also, the big difference with these than the previous release is that they are a much harder, less-flexible plastic. The series 1 figures were more rubbery and flexible, but these are much closer to the consistency of original MUSCLEs.

Also, the big difference with these than the previous release is that they are a much harder, less-flexible plastic. The series 1 figures were more rubbery and flexible, but these are much closer to the consistency of original MUSCLEs.

The later batches of the Series 1 figures are made of this firmer plastic too. The more rubbery plastic was just used for the first batch because of a factory error.

The sculpting style of the Series 2 figures is cool and does give off much more of a MUSCLE vibe. My only complaint is Series 1 and 2 don't blend that well together because of it (noticeably different head and hand sizes, etc). It's more noticeable with some than others.
