Doubtful it will come over here, unless the line does too. Too bad 3Ds isn't region free like its predecessors and the vita.

Man, I'd love to play it. It's the closest we will ever have to an official battle beast game. Its a real shame that the 3DS is region locked.

Yeah that is a shame. I guess there's always the emulator route...

awesome video, love the fact they kept the anime scale, like the elephant being way bigger than others. Always wished the toy line followed it, itd be cool having 8" and 6" figures for larger animals and maybe some tiny ones for like rats n such

The game looks promising. the 3ds on the other hand, is a complete turd.no one is missing a thing. well maybe a eye ache,

I got one the fist day they came out. played it maybe a month.Never played it again.

this game maybe what i needed to resurrect that hunk of garbage out of my junk drawer.

do you have the Japan-region version? Cause otherwise you'll need to buy another version of the console you don't ever play ;)

I tried the 3DS in a store right after it came out and noticed pretty quickly that it was an eye strain magnet. I still have my DS-lite though so I can play the GBA re-releases of the Final Fantasy games when I'm in the mood :)

You can turn the 3D off so that the games appear normal. This way, you can get the newest titles while not ruining your eyes.

(PS: Nintendo has a microscopic warning not to let kids under 7 use 3D products as it can permanently damage their eyes. This also goes for 3D movies, even if the theatres won't warn you.)

Regardless, I'm disappointed that this just looks like a mortal kombat-esque game. I'll be ok if it never makes it overseas.

I got one two monthes ago and I'm loving it. I got Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask and later on got Project X Zone. I also got the downloaded titles Mighty Switch Force and Mighty Switch Force 2, and I got the Virtual Console releases Tetris, Harvest Moon GBC and Shantae :D. I'm thinking of getting Level 5's Attack of the Friday Monster: A Tokyo Tale. Also I tried the demo of Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed and it's friggin' awesome so I might end up getting it later on once I'm done with Layton and X Zone. Plus later this year is the new Pokémon generation, and 2014 will see the release of Smash Bros 3DS and apparently we're finally getting Phoenix Wright VS Professor Layton!

So yeah I don't regret my purchase at all. Even the street pass Mii Plaza is fun.

I found this on youtube today, it appears to be a Japanese Let's Play of the game, with 6 parts up so far.

For those of us who won't be importing the game, we can at least watch the story mode

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3:

Part 4:

Part 5:

Part 6:

I like the graphics of this game. I'd probably buy it if it were in english. I've played games in Japanese before and it can be a pain trying to figure out the menus and so on.

hah this is marked down to like $19 on Amazon.jp so I've been tempted to pick up a copy myself even though I don't have a 3DS much less a Japanese one ;)

I'm not sure, but you might be able to play the Japanese game on a US 3DS. I know I've bought Japanese PSP games and played them on a US system. But then again you don't have a 3DS anyway so that wouldn't really matter much to you. :p

3DS's are region locked. You would need a japanese region coded 3ds to play the beast saga game.
