Possibly big news, that can have many implications for North America fans and collectors.

The Beast Saga anime might be coming to the States because it's possibly getting an English dubbing, all unconfirmed, read the link below for the heads up. If they go that far to bring the Beast Saga anime to North America, it could be possible we might get a U.S. toyline release of it as well. Finally no need to import Beast Saga, because it will be available at your local Toys 'R Us or something. Maybe they will produce the figures in a stiffer plastic too, one can only hope.

Well that would be news indeed! But to be honest I´d seriously doubt that IF the anime would make it outside Japan there´d be any reason to assume the figures might follow. So far all news around the toyline is completely dead as far as I know and there´s a big chance this has anything to do with the sales in Japan. Why would they take the risk launching this line outside Japan when they´ve all reasons not to do so and in the end if there´d be one country in the world where this type of Toyline should be a succes its obviously Japan......

But like you said we can only hope ;)

If the anime comes, I'm sure the toys will be right along side them. That seems to be the case almost all the time when they launch a new cartoon series here, imported or homegrown.

While Beast Saga might be considered dead in Japan, it did have a certain amount of success their from it's launch, it just kind of pewtered out for some reason. It's possible Hasbro or Mattel has taken interest in finally doing a North America toyline release while a subsidiary English dubs the anime. I can see Takara easily licensing BS to one of them, simply because they spent alot of development time and money on the line not to stretch out revenue from it. Their wouldn't be any risk for Japan, they already took the risk, it would be one of the U.S. toyline companies that would be taking the risk, and from their perspective, Beast Saga has alot to offer to this generation of kids in America. I can see them changing the title though from Beast Saga to something else, minus the "Saga" part. Also the manga might get an English release as well from Viz or another English manga studio if the anime becomes a success.

I contacted the voice actor that this article is speculating about (Erin Fitzgerald) to see if she had any info. I asked if she had any idea if the dub she worked on was an official or fansub, mentioning that there was speculation from her post that the show might be imported. Her reply: "No idea"

So, erm, yeah. I don't think it's an NDA issue since she already posted it to her site, so who knows? For what it's worth though, both of her parts listed are for minor villager/background characters.

Of course! Right after I watch the first 21 episodes with English subtitles...

Sidenote: Someone help me, I just watched 21 episodes of Beast Saga.

That's nothing, I already imported the Japanese toyline, what happens if they bring it to the States. What do I do then...what do I do?

Also bachman you question to the English voice actress was kind of a vague question or didn't make much sense to her, which is probably why you got the "No idea" response, because she is a professional English voice actress, not a fan dubber much less a fan subber. So the things she does dub are generally official English projects.

I'm unsure what you feel was vague about my question? I thought it was pretty straight-forward.

Based on her second response, I'm gathering that she probably wasn't supposed to list that yet for NDA purposes, which would explain her short/vague responses. So, that would be good news for us. I was about to check to see if she had removed it, but someone has apparently hacked her website

For what it's worth, I knew a girl who did anime dub work in the past (she was one of the girls on Azumanga Diaoh) who would take on side-projects now and then after they were confirmed to be industry passes, so it's not entirely unheard of. Doesn't sound like the case here, though.

Ah ok I see. She still has it listed in her wiki page. So it's kind of foretelling. Plans might be in motion as we speak.

This might be too late. The English dub of Beast Saga is already confirmed by Toonami Asia.

Well that's neat. It'd be great to watch the show in it's entirety with some nice dubs

neat! I'd almost forgotten about this thread, can't wait to see the dubbed version.

I wonder if they'll do the entire series, including the "second" season episodes? I never actually finished watching those since they hadn't been fansubbed yet the last time I checked.
