I received some unexpected news from Italy yesterday because as mentioned in my last post about the Megantik on LRG and via the post on the Beastformers Blog; The Momentary life of the Megantik… there was a chance that the Megantik would return via a (final) redistribution. Based on the latest information received earlier this was planned for the beginning of 2018 but they have returned just before Christmas!

A couple of things have changed though, like a new design for the box, but also some crucial changes in the selling strategy because they left the blind bag idea behind. This and more info can be found on the Beastformers Blog in the new Megantik post:

News from Italy; Sono Tornati! (They returned)

On the Blog you can also find all the other information about this line you need to know.

Let´s see how long they last this time...

Enjoy the Megantik!

Do you think that will make it cheaper to get a few here in the states, or do you think the shipping from Italy just makes them expensive no matter what?

It really depends on whether you´re just after some loose figs or a full set.

Based on their new selling strategy and the inconsistency of the box content it´ll be a whole lot harder to get a complete set, on the other hand if you´re only after some specific loose figs it might make things a whole lot easier. Shipping from Italy remains a pain in the #ss though, on Ebay you can find figs for 5 euro or so but than there´s 7 or 8 euro (if not more for locations outside the EU) on top of that for shipping....

Turns out that ALSO this re-release isn´t sticking to any sort of schedule or plan because as I was informed they´d planned it to be out there for 2 months or so again but it turns out that all the remaining Megantik have all been distributed over the various Edicola stores in Italy, those Edicola stores who tried to order some extra at their distributor where told nothing is left anymore. This means that once these are gone they´re gone for good. So even with this short 2nd revival it remains a very short lived line. Let´s see what, who and where a next possible Battle Beasts inspired line will show up again...
