I was just thinking about this the other day and wondered if such a thing had ever been produced. It seems like it could have been a fun toy line when I was a kid and Voltron was on TV every morning. The lions produced in the 5 correct colors and some versions of them being able to join together (peg and hole style like the Satan Cross Kinkeshi) to form Voltron would have been really cool! Others could have been in standard fighting, running, flying, etc. poses so you could reinact scenes from the anime. Plus, you could have the pilots and other characters as various other keshi figures.

Anyway, it's something that I'm surprised I've never seen and I assume nothing like that was never produced. But just thinking about the possibilities makes me wish it was real! M.U.S.C.L.E. and Voltron were two of my favorite toys when I was a kid, so a mash-up would have been amazing!

(sorry if this is in the wrong forum...I wasn't sure where to ask)

Something was made like that but i don't think it was a keshi type rubber.

Eric Nilla would know waaaay more. You can PM him or wait for him to find this thread. I think he had them as a kid and has been after them again ever since.

There definitely were some Go-Lion keshi made. Not sure about a set of keshi you could combine though.

The kind of combining gimmick you're talking about sounds like something that would have been done in plastic as a gashapon or candy toy kit instead (which I'm pretty sure definitely exists).

There is a go-lion voltron keshi that is in pieces you put together in a standing pose.

There is a larger one of the cars voltron (Dairugger) that is in separate pieces too, and is just a standing pose as well.

WOW! Thanks for all of the information. I really expected just a "nope, there's never been one" but this is awesome!

That is just about exactly what I was thinking of! Do you know if they made all 5 colors so they could be mix-and-matched to look more like the real thing? I see that there's a couple of reds and a green on eBay currently. Pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger on that one you posted...good price for something I didn't think existed Thanks again! :D

There was also an eraser in the states during the 80's. though I think it was solid piece and not nearly as nice looking.

glad I could help, and they were released in red, green, blue and yellow ... no black.

It was released in the states in the appropriate colors, and painted details, but larger. Sold carded.

The Assembler is pretty interesting looking but the Japanese keshi is closer to what I was thinking of. I snagged that one you posted off of eBay...for the price and free shipping I couldn't pass it up. Curious to see it when it arrives. The other, similar keshi auctions are for more than I'd like to pay, but maybe over time I'll gather up all of the colors! Thanks again!
