I swear guys and gals (huh, ARE there any gals that visit this board?) one day i'll post something recent, promise! In the meantime, hope you all enjoy these little critters. Most of them I remember doing during art history in college, wow were those some boring lectures...
Anywho,
Wolverine (who I've actually been meaning to revamp)
Whirligig (one of my favorite insects, I HAD to do one)
Packrat (the story I had planned with this lot involved her as the counterpart to Vermin)
Sparrow vs Snow Owl (apologies for the awkward posing, also done while half asleep in art history II.. erg....)
Spidermonkey (kind of a homage to that annoying monkey child-beast in the Headmasters episode.)
And finally (and weirdest at the moment) the Worm

I like the Wolverine also...it's my school's mascot!
I also like the worm for some reason.......I guess it reminds me of Earthworm Jim from Sega.........or was it SNES? I can't remember anymore.
I really do like the drawing though, you really have talent. I especially like the ideas for beasts, quite unique and interesting. I mean, who would have thought of a worm? That's cool.

That would be sweet to have a custom made and have claws come out of the hand like x-men wolverine!
The only problem I would see is how fragile it may be, but for display.....priceless.

it wouldn't be too hard as long as the arm was thick enough to hold the claws inside, kinda like the lightsabers on the classic star wars figs that slide in & out.

Wicked drawings~!!!!!
I like the Worm that's such a cool concept. Sure he has no face or mouth or eyes or anything that would normally be a beast character but that's what's so cool about it. I like the Wolverine and i'd like to se a re-vamp of it too~!
A Monkey that looks like a Monkey doing a Monkey thing......as opposed to a pot-leafed Monkey on Crack.
I like the Sparrow too. Talk about ideas for customs....sigh.....if i only had more time in my day.
Keep 'em comming~!!!!!

Thanks for the feedback guys!
It's funny, the Wolverinbe was one of my least favorite of the lot, but I'm glad you guys like him so much! I originally thought if there were to be a quickie custom of him made I'd probably try to build off the weapon arm Pangol has, it's a nice three clawed start
I'm also glad you guys like the worm! hehe, the idea was definitely a nod to Earthworm Jim, I figured it would be funny if an intelligent worm beast decided to shove himself into a battle armor suit and just run amok! Wooha for destruction!
As for the Whirligig, it's a water-type insect that's known for sitting on the surface of the water and zipping around, sometimes in clusters of up to 60 spinning on the surface looking for food. They're usually scavengers, but will hunt and kill if necessary. The coolest thing about them (to me anyway) is that their eyes are divided into two parts, a section that sits on top of the water to watch for predators and possible prey, and a section lower on the head that sit underwater to scan for food.
They're skittish, and can dash under the water to attack prey of if they're startled. Mighty cool little boogers...
