I picked up this glass display case with built-in overhead light for $50 at an antique store. I love it. Something about having toys where you can't touch them makes them so much more alluring. I think it really ties the room together ;) I have no idea why it posts the second pic sideways. Must be an ipad thing.

Very cool case. Love the lighting as well. And all the cool toys!

You may want to look into finding a few plexi-glass risers too so you can add clear steps to individual shelves.

Thanks :)
And good call, I'll definitely look in to that! I tried recreating the same effect using parts of my last display, but I hadn't even thought of anything see-thru like plexiglass!

Nice find. I've been looking for a shelf display exactly like this at antique stores and such fora while now and nothing great has turned up yet. That's an excellent price too, especially considering all the glass.

For sure. It only opens through the back, so I hesitated getting it for a few days, and looked all over town and Craigslist for similar displays, but there was literally nothing like it around here. It's soooo heavy too, but totally worth it :)
