Good god I know certain ppl on other sites are spastic about Nilla and others doing customs but man I'm glad he does when real ones cost that much!! Haha some day I will own 1 real one but at the moment I could go on holiday for $400.

These figures are so awesome. I'm glad he was able to get a set together to make these.

I'm a huge fan of them hence why I made a thread.
Great aren't they.

"Real ones" only cost that much when you buy them from collectors who for some reason believe all Novo Bonbon figures should cost 350+. Funny thing is, whenever they go to a true auction they rarely ever demand such high prices. Just look back at the LRG auction we had recently...the only figures to reach 350.00 were 1 of 1 super rares.

Because they RARELY EVER go to auction. The only way to pry these gems from collectors' hands is with BIG $$

And only 1 or 2 die hards would ever pay $350 for an Alice Island figure even if the blue was 'special'. I'd MUCH rather have a series 2 sculpt over any 'rare' novo series 1 figure with the possible exception of yellow.

They "RARELY EVER" go to auction because deep pocket collectors buy them up and then dictate what they think they should be worth or others win them at auction then sit on them until they can make significant profit off someone else. These two practices have basically choked the hobby leaving it in the state it is in now.

When the supply is bought up by the few interested in profiting, it takes away the opportunity of others to win figures at fair auction. The demand and price may go up due to lack of available figures, but only because the few profiteers holding them have made it that way.

Some novo's turned up a few months back and I managed to nab a green distorted dot for $67. Unfortunately some profiteers swooped in and offered the seller double most likely to sell for triple or even quadruple. Sucks balls.
