Cool. Yep your offer of well above market value will be a tempting one, but it's finding people with doubles that will be hard. It's surprising how little NY Griffin shows up. Your best bet is try eBay France and save yourself some money.

You are absolutely right, no one in their right mind would be willing to part with one of these prized items unless they already had one in their collection. I have been keeping a close eye on eBay for a while now but understand that some of these rarer pieces often are exchanged between collectors themselves so thought I would give this thread a go. I am trying to complete a set of MIMP 2nd Gen 2006 with the intention of getting my great nephews into gaming.

I wasn't aware the 2006 release had a gaming element to it, but then I've never seen them in person

They have game cards.  Traders have told me that they tend to throw these away as the figures and decoders are "where the money is" -though one treader sent me a number of UV decoders free.  So, yes, there is a gaming element.

The reason you're seeing high prices on some of the 2006 figures you still need is because they are amongst the hardest to get, some of which only saw very limited release. Even of people have them on here then they will still cost you some ££. If you strike out on here then contact sellers on eBay and give them your best offer - some sellers have the same high priced figures listed forever so will sometimes be willing to strike a deal.
