Hello,

I've recently dug out all my Monster In My Pocket and starting sorting through them to make a list of which ones I'm missing.

Having found a check-list I became interested in the colour guides and thought about collecting them in various colors.

I started at the very beginning, "Great Beast", I had him in purple and some sort of green brown, I then moved onto "Hydra" which I only have one of.. and it's in a dark brown colour..  which oddly enough isn't on the colour chart..

I started looking and comparing all the colours I've got and I'm now at a complete loss as I found a couple more brown ones.

Now I could put the "Great Beast" down to be some sort of discolouration of the olive green colour.. although it is a solid colour with no other colour bleed present, where as the brown monsters I'm not sure.

Here are a few photos,

I did some with a flash and without, I also put figures of different colours next to them for contrast.

Pretty sure they are just discolored standard yellow and neon purple figures. My guess, since there is a common browning of different colors is that the figures were exposed to elements or chemicals that altered the colors over the years. They look kind of cool though. I would keep them around since they discolored so nice and even.

Faded or bootlegs more than likely. Cool though.

I have a regular purple Witch that I painted with acrylic paint like 15 years ago. When I recently took the paint off I found that it looked brownish, similar to yours.

Not sure what would cause it in yours though. I'm assuming yours were never painted but maybe something else caused a similar reaction.
