I just purchased this unproduced prototype of a functional swamp thing figure. but seller had no info from the kenner employee family member.

no markings on the figure and its unpainted. squeeze legs and his torso springs upwards to make him grow taller.

not part of the 2nd wave unproduced figures featured in kenner spring 1992 catalog either.

any one know former kenner employees i can ask?

No info, but it was a fun line of figs.  And I've never seen anything like that one... very cool!!  DO you mind if I ask what the price was?

I just saw this figure featured in the 2nd issue of the Holland Files (Swamp Thing fanzine)!!!
I'm assuming you're the owner that was interviewed?

Spectacular find. Really jealous of this piece.

I too, would be curious of the price you managed to acquire for  :turned:

Also, from the article, it sounds like there were more Swamp Thing figures solicited for 1992, but sales weren't good enough to produce them.
But, this "Vine Launching Swamp Thing" wasn't ready to  photograph in time for solicitation in the catalogue.
Does that mean there WERE images of other canceled Swamp Thing figures from series 2?

I'd love to see them.

Thanks!

Never mind.

I was able to find some images of the catalogue.
Should have knowns Roots of the Swamp Thing would have already been on top of it.

Pretty cool.
