Haahahahhahaaa -surely i can agree on that his whole appearance spells yuk! for me and this new joker pic really makes me wanna throw up...

The cast pic looks like theyre making a f**king team fortress game instead of movie.
Normally i dont care much about about superhero films in general but ive watched Ironman movies and the one Batman movie with Heath Legder as Joker, and that was effing awesome! Sarcastic, anarchist and intelligent guy but Jared here is a discgrace.

Another movie i most likely wont be watching.

Edit: since were talking superhero the movie about this Deadpool sounds pretty good though. Saw some hilarious pics and comic strips atleast

Actually, that Deadshot ia the first passable character adaptation attached to this movie. Making Harley a slutty cheerleader doesn't really make any sense.

 

I'm starting to think that maybe it's not as bad as I thought... maybe my bias against the character is coming out.  I just never liked the whole laser scope thing.  Always seemed a little silly to me.  Way worse on Arrow lol...

 

As far as the slutty cheerleader... we have seen so many versions of Harley, some far sluttier than others that for me it's more about if they capture her personality.  If they get that right, they can put her in whatever.

I mean, you can go wrong with a "slutty cheerleader", if that's not what the character is. Harley is a blunt instrument, and was intended to be the anti-femme-fatale. Don't believe me? Ask Paul Dini and Bruce Timm.

I guess what I'm trying to say... is that I'm just happy it's not something as lame as the pic below.

For me, classic Harley is the only Harley, and I was never a fan of the trashy later iterations.  In all the ways that the movie could eff this up... this cheerleader thing seems a a little bit more tolerable, but probably only because my expectations are so low.  I was afraid it would be something even LESS empowering like the pic below...

 

But yes Jesse, Ironmask is correct in his anti-femme fatale statement.  I think unfortunately she has devolved a bit over the years though...

I can't speak for everybody, but what made me a Harley fan early on, was the fact that she was diametrically opposite of what the comics were doing with female characters. She was covered head to toe in her costume, had gnarly ass pet hyenas, and was lugging around these huge hammers and a giant pop gun. She was basically a mob enforcer but for a mass murdering lunatic. It was nuts, and the complete opposite of what the trends were dictating. Now, in the comics and the movie, she's just kind of more of the same. 

 

And yeah, Riff Raff is just the latest in the "famous for being famous" trend.

Oh... ok.  I hadn't seen the Harley part of the pic yet.  That was my first time.  

 

Y'know for all the fussing I'm doing about the movie... I may be pleasantly surprised.  Keeping expectations low helps sometimes lol...

ultimately I think it's going to really come down to the quality of the script.

I'm almost to scared to admit I'm really really looking forward to this film , i think it's going to be amazing , but Will smith does put some doubt in it for me .
