Series 5 is out now at Wal-Mart.  Best series yet, I think.  I may add some pictures of my own, but I wanted to get the pack codes out for anyone interested.

Codes are in the top, left-hand corner, on the back of each package.

63 -- samurai

65 -- fly guy

66 -- genie

68 -- crash test dummy

70 -- cyclops

71 -- queen

74 -- wolfman

75 -- skeleton-ghost

PS. Send any extra skeleton-ghosts you come across my way -- I will pay retail or much more in trade value.  Loving that mutant Fly Guy too.  ;)

I wish the fly guy was just a fly mutant, and not a human hybrid. It makes sense for the character and kids will love it either way, (which, to be fair, is the demographic). He would have fit nicely with my aliens but now he's just a filthy mutie.

I have the crash test dummy... Heads up, he's not articulated, and made in a flexible rubber.

Yep, makes me want the figure even more.

I should have extras of these before too long.  I'll typically grab the entire display or a case...

The good news is that if you buy a case, you get 4 sets.  They do not shortpack like Lego and Mega Bloks.

I want to see these 4, which means my kids will get these 4. I agree it's the best series yet. The zombie and space monkey are the only two in the first 4 series that I bought extras of for me.

Here are the other figures.

The only real wet-fart to me is the samurai guy.  First, he is just so plain.  Second, they have already done a whole series of Samurais and Ninjas with playsets -- so this just seems like an additional figure that no one possibly requested.

The genie and the cyclops are actually nice iconic figures that just don't stand out because there are so many other highlights.  Their inclusion does help put Series 1 to shame.

The queen is okay -- always nice to see a female figure added.  In their entire playscape of knights and dragons and kings, there has never been a queen before. And this makes the third female in the blind-bags.

Originally, I wasn't into the crash test dummy, but I get how fun this figure would be to put in toy vehicles or photograph in compromising situations.  The only other figure made of this flexible plastic is Plastic Man in the DC series.

Then there is the Wolfman.  I wrote Imaginext and insisted that they make a wolfman since it was the only 'classic monster' not yet included.  I am not suggesting that I got them to make it, or had any influence at all, only that I took the time to let them know that it was wanted.  I bet many other people requested it too and/or it was planned all along.  Now we have a mummy (series 1), a Frankenstein monster (series 2), a vampire (series 3), a zombie (series 3), a swamp creature (series 3), a witch (series 4), a 'mad' scientist (series 4), and now a wolfman (series 5).

Finally, is what -- to me -- is probably the best toy of the year.  My two favorite plastic types are, without a doubt, 1) glow-in-the-dark and 2) translucent green.

This figure is the best of both!  (Not to mention that I thematically collect both skeleton and ghost toys from any toyline.)

The skeleton has been a favorite figure from their mainline playsets as both a 'skeleton pirate' and a 'skeleton mummy.'  Although there are some other translucent yellowish green regular-bodied 'ghost pirates' (that also came out this year), this is the first 'sheet-type' ghost accessory ever from Imaginext.

This is also their first translucent skeleton.  Notice that the internal plastic at the articulation points is opaque white -- giving some additional details within.

The only thing that I would have liked to have seen adjusted would have been the ghost-sheet coming down lower in the front -- so that it could stand on its own without requiring a skeleton (or another figure) to be inside.

In addition to more mutants, the top thing that I would like to see in Series 6 would be some variation on this skeleton-ghost combo.  Something like a GID skeleton and a translucent ghost or a black skeleton and a GID ghost that glows in a different color.

Whether this happens or not, the current combo still makes for one of my favorite figures of all time.

Like I said, translucent green plus GID is simply a win-win!

love that queen! I will definitely be on the lookout for her. The Wolfman, Skeleton, and Ghost are on my list, too. Maybe the genie.

Skeleton-Ghosts are going to go quick because they are easy to "feel" without knowing anything about the tiny pack codes.  Just remember #71 to get that queen and #74 to get the wolfman! Best of luck, Grimace!

Toyriffic has the Series 6 figures and codes up. There's only six in the set though, which is a shame IMO. The Creepy Jester, Four-Armed Alien, and Amelia Earhart are the only must-haves for me.

Found Series 6 at Target.

Here are the codes for all your pack-picking desires...

99 = the harlequin or jester

00 = Mecha-Godzilla guy

02 = Amelia Earhart

04 = My Little Gnomie

05 = 3-eyed, 4-armed alien

06 = Los Pollos Hermanos -- they actually made the face look like Gus Fring!

I will add some photos later.
