Well it looks like im going to be the curious George here but oh well someones gotta do it. What are these guys "Legends" as their member title says.


First i thought theyre guys with posts and guys who are trustworthy but then i noticed there are lots of guys with good reputation and have been here for a long time but arent legends? so wth how do you/i become one? :D


Ps. No dont actually wanna be a legend i like my member title and also sorry for being the rookie who asks stupid/meaningles questions that might piss someone of. But as i said someones gotta do it.

If you check out the Hall of Fame right above this thread, it will have an explanation of who the Legends are and why they are Legends.  It isn't about reputation points or anything like that;  Legends are more about significance and contribution to the collecting community.

 

It's a great question and you shouldn't feel like you will have your head bitten off for asking!  I don't think this question would piss any reasonable LRG'er off at all, so don't be afraid to ask in the future!

I haven't read the thread they are referencing , but I always assumed it had something to do with their level of contribution to the collecting community. If you look ya someone like Veers and the UOM website, that it's a HUGE resource, and therefore massive contribution to this community.

Hah also i was kind of wondering why TGB isnt a legend and almost used him as example but he kind of is a legend but not titled right?

All LEGENDS have been around for a long time and have significantly given back to the hobby of Muscles or Battle Beasts.  I dont think there is a legend from the MIMP community.

We haven't had a new legend for a while, but it's kind of like the HOF thread states: "Don't come to us, we'll come to you". When somebody has been around long enough, and done something significant enough, they'll get it.  Just "being here for a long time" isn't enough. F**k, I've been on the board for twelve years! You have to not just be an institution, but you have to add something positive to the community.
