Hi folks, just thought I'd swing by as its been a wee while since any new topics have been started.

What I want to know is has anyone ever previously had the MIMP bath gel with free figure? And if so what colour figure was inside, and were there different colour gels as well? The only thing I'm aware of is that it contained a neon series 1 monster.

The one I distinctly recall seeing on a shopping mall shelf was a small round shaped tub with a black lid on top and inside was a light purple Hobgoblin. (At least I think it coulda been, hard to say really, was just a toddler at the time!)

If anyone has any photos or further on this subject I'd be most appreciative.

:thanks: "Ant"

P.S. Already tried Google and came up with nothing relating to it whatsoever! :(

Damn I feel like my area really slacked on MIMP stuff. Don't remember much beyond the basic series 1 figures and NES game.

Yeah I had an inkling this might have been a "Brit-only" thing. Am pretty sure some members on here said they had this at some point. Howard AKA Dielaughing mentioned getting a neon yellow Griffin with his bath gel.

God knows how many other promos were out there at the time that we still don't know about to this day. Makes for some interesting reading and research though doesn't it!

I had loads of them as a kid, they'd come in a see through container with a monster inside. Tesco used to sell them and I think Safeway where I lived. The bubble bath was a gel like substance, like shower gel that's got too cold. Solid rather than liquid anyway.

The figures inside I found were normal but somehow felt harder, I don't know how that was but they definitely did. I got a Neon Yellow Triton in one, think I got  Neon Green Great Beast too and a couple of Neon Yellow Griffin's.

I remember the gel was blue colour, or green, and I think there was a red version too

Woops, just noticed you said about me in the last post ahahaha, eyes too far from fingers :D

Haha! lol yeah that happened to me once when I failed to notice Toytoad's pink slime boglin avatar when enquiring about who owns one. Happens to the best of us Howard! ;)

Glad for your input on this anyway bud, am surprised you recount this in such detail considering how long it was ago. I think the one I saw had purple gel but on reflection was most probably blue with a light purple figure inside. Can you recall if all first series mimps were included or just a select few?

Either way, I REALLY REALLY wish I had the chance of getting some but I never seen any in the shops I went to. :(

I tend to remember stuff that others would find unimportant and forget the important stuff :D

I don't know about if it included all the series 1 figures, but all the ones I got were, so even if it was a limited amount it seems it was solely series 1 and no others. I got a neon green rok as well in one. I tended to convince my folks to buy one if I saw a figure I was missing inside :D also got a Haniver as well, I think it was a neon yellow one or green but I don't remember exactly. I do miss this kind of stuff these days, even the cereal promotions have been lousy for years. Would be awesome if any of the bubble bath still existed :D

Yeah you're absolutely right there Howard. There should be stuff like this available for kids out there this day and age, I got most of my other free toys from bath gels. Once got a rubber crocodile's head hand puppet. Hell, even Matey bubble bath is still on the go decades later!

Seem to be no such things as proper "freebies" inside cereal packs these days. :( Can you believe there were six mimp promos relating to Kellogg's back in the day? I know this is slightly off topic, but here's some links. I'm sure some of you have seen them anyway:
