Hey folks! I'm nearing completion on my Battle Beast Series 1 - 3 set, I just need a few more! Short Rabbit is one of the few remaining, and I'm having a hard time with it at the moment. (I have nothing to compare against).

My question is: How long are the standard ears VS. the Short ones? Bach possibly has one, and here is the picture he used to show me:

The one in the middle is the one he intends on trading, but we're both unsure if it's the short variant or not.

Help from some of you dudes out there with the figures would be very much appreciated by the pair of us! I have a rabbit now, but again I have nothing to compare it with on whether it is short or not. Perhaps if someone could measure it with a picture of another beast in the shot, I might be able to deduce on what figure it is that I have.

Thanks in advance!!

yeah I'd been on the fence regarding whether this is an actual variant and thought after getting one I'd be convinced, but I'm not really tbh (to the extent that I believe I already had one and didn't know it, hence this thread :D ). It's just so slight a difference, I dunno I'd always envisioned something much more drastic, and I remember hearing someone say something about the tail not being flat on that variant, but I've still seen no photo evidence of that. I mean for sure the figure on the far left looks different to me than the other two (particularly the ears), but I personally am hesitant to call that difference a variant.

Here's a pic of the same three figs from the other side (same order). It probably doesn't help that my "normal" rabbit (far left) leans forward slightly, but the main purpose  of these images (and the red lines) is to compare to the one on the far right, which is the one I got recently as a short variant. I've been looking at them and still can't make a solid judgement on this :/

I have a few short rabbits now. and there all barley shorter. so i now i just keep every rabbit i get . I want to monty python custom paint them .like the one that eats people.

but from the pics you guys have posted. id say the one with the kicked back ears looks the shortest. unless theirs a third rabbit variation .  there's also a variant of a slightly fatter rabbit. 1/32 bigger in diameter. so who knows. maybe the molds were funky and had to keep remaking them.

I'lll try to dig out a few of my rabbits and see whats what. try and get some pics up .

I agree that I am barely seeing a variation here lol this variation is like playing pokemon. You need to army build rabbits to get one it seems

Its one of the most overrated ´´variants´´ in the BB community imho but as long as everyone believes its a variant people will automatically try to find one.

I´ve never been to much in a rush getting this fellow and I´ve most likely sold/traded a few in the past as I didn´t even see the need to get one in the variant area of my collection but in the end I decided to hold on just in case...

Think all has been said and discussed about this Rabbit before and for other info check this;

http://www.littlerub...110245&p=406832

The shortness of this Rabbit is not as much in the body of this Rabbit but more in the size of its ears as clearly shown on all comparison pics.

If you look closely into the size of the ears you´ll notice that the ears from the Short version are just a little smaller in size/length than the ones from the normal one.

For comparison its important to have solid and flat standing Rabbits because every little bend or wrong base material on which they stand (First pic shared by Draznar on the carpet like material ain´t really fair from that perspective) is causing the already limited height difference to be influenced. If you´ve an extreme good normal Rabbit and a real small Short eared Rabbit and both are standing straight and solid you´ll see the difference but in most cases its really a matter of details.

It´s true that in general the Short eared one seems to have a more Greenish skin color but that´s not generally confirmed so that´s not the main thing to look for apart of the ears.

The round tailed Rabbit is another considered variant among the Rabbit but there is no direct connection between the tail and the short eared variant as far as I know. Personally the only round tail Rabbit I have is the BDC one which is obviously different in colors from the normal ones but there are also normal BB Rabbits out there with round tails.

Everyone is free to decide whether a variant is a variant but its an understatement to say there´s some need for a certain degree or other name for some of the figures which are currently still announced as variants because in comparison to the Black Mole for instance this Short Eared Rabbit is far less a variant imho.

ps.

On the pic Bachamn showed I´d say only the one in the middle ain´t a Short Rabbit while the other ones are regardless the wrong stand of the one on the right. Both ears seem/feel a little shorter in comparison to the one in the middle and they´re obviously a little more greenish in skin tone. But even on a picture its hard to tell and you really need to hold them in hand for proper comparison unless you´ve the right Rabbits (solid standing big normal one and small short version) to compare it with as shown on the picture I took. (see link included above)
