Meh, not really into either. But Lobsterman looks like he was better sculpted, so I choose him.

Honestly, it's one of the nicest, cleanest sculpts I've ever seen. It's a sublime figure.

Sorry Plastic, I had to go with the LB!

Same here, Lobesterman is nice but you already have the Critter in the next round (where he belongs) and Puzzlecolor should make it to the next round as well for several reasons and one of these is of major advantage over Mr. Lobster because that fig doesn't hold the priceless value of nostalgia! C'mon Puzzle kick some #ss :)

I'd say Critter vs. Puzzle would be a nice final.............

I had to go with Puzzlecolor, just to tie it up. These figure battles are best when they're close.

Current collecting goal: obtain all 148 Monster In My Pocket Series 1 figures in regular colors (71.62% there)

Lobsterman is a great sculpt.

That is a great picture of the sculpt.

Puzzlecolor looks like he's about to go have tea with Angela Lansbury.

Lobsterman looks like he just got done eating the sould of Ghengis Khan.

Easy vote, for me.

I really like the Lobsterman sculpt (and wish I owned one) but my decision here is obvious.

Puzzlecolor looks like he's about to go have tea with Angela Lansbury.

Puzzle is such a cool beast and sculpt. The colors are sharp has cool weapons and the laser orb brings in a nice feature.

Damn this is close! Apparently my vote tied it up again at 14 votes each. I wait to see where the standings are and to read the comments until after I have voted...

Either way this may come down to the last vote and which ever gets in is definitely deserving.

Haha Bacham, +5 for pedantry, haha

I Do find it interesting however, that Puzzle's promo art is being used in support of the sculpt. I wonder if Zectron has any support work for Lobsterman, to even things out?

For me, Puzzlecolor looks like a fun figure, but not as crisp as the crustacean. I think a lot of the appeal for a lot of collectors is the Laserbeast mystique (Not dissimilar to the Satancross mystique).

Isn't calling something pedantic a bit...pedantic? :D

The card art was posted in response to the "tea with Angela Landsbury" simile, mostly because I like to imagine a sketch of her in the similar style. It wasn't needed to support the sculpt itself. ;)

The 3/4 angle photo was to support the sculpt, as you can't see much detail in the face from the original.

I'd also have to disagree with your correlation of the LB collectors to the SatanCross dynamic, though I can see how you could draw this conclusion as a non-collector. To me it just seems that many of the character designs for LB were going in a slightly different, superb direction, beyond the scope of many of the originals, specifically from S1 and S2. You can see the shift beginning in S3. Having said that, there are many of the early sculpts that I like more than some of the LBs.

Isn't pointing out the pedantry of calling somebody pedantic, pedantic? I feel like we've stumbled on the new "Who's on first?" haha

And the card art, while fun, does vary from the actual sculpt a bit... Toh-may-toe/toh-mah-toe? Maybe. The horns on the card art actually look like horns... The ones on the figure... Well, I'll spare you all a comparison on that one.

Saying that posting the two pics wasn't in support of my statements abouy the sculpt, is a crock, though.

You are correct, though. I'm probably going to take some flack for this, but no... I Am not a BB/LB collector. There's a few sculpts that look rad, but for the most part, they just aren't my thing. I don't feel that the Laserbeast sculpts are any more imaginative than any of the previous sculpts, with the exception of Skull Grotess.

That being said though, I don't think we're judging the figures on the same criteria, so the argument is kind of subjective to the point of being moot.

Cripes, I am writing like an sloth on downers today. I meant to say, the pictures were in defense of the sculpt, regarding my statement. Holy balls.

Just look into his eyes..........

and you'll become hypnotized...........

than you'll do whatever it says....

NOW go and vote for Puzzlecolor!

:)

There's only one Beastformer active within this whole competition so he's representing the BB community here which is why he'll get some extra support towards the final.
