He has sold lots of MUSCLE stuff. I would be surprised if he stopped the auction for an offline deal.

Looks like the auction is up again.

I'm brand new to MUSCLE collecting, but it looks like people have been paying 2x what it's worth lately.

Don't know if that's due to impatience, misinformation, or holiday gifting reasons.

I paid around £20 for mine, so that's around $45. Why people drive prices up when more SCs always come along I don't know!

Items do normally tend to go up in value. Whether it be due to inflation or it being more desired than in it past. It is possible the value of all muscles are going up. Sad thought for us collectors haha. If an item keeps selling around $70 the value of that item is most likely $70.

Do you guys think the release of the Bandai Figuarts Kinnikuman toys could have caused an increase in demand for the old toys?

If so, do you think it will be permanent or temporary?

S#%T if it's gonna be that kinda party I'll sell mine. I would rather have 75 bucks than a satan cross right now! Maybe I should toss mine on eBay too.

So that's yours? I didn't mean to imply that you had taken it down for that reason. I was just noting that for about an hour, that auction showed up as unavailable.

Am I the only one that saw that?

At any rate, you've certainly got two guys going bonkers on your Satan Cross.

Thank you

Must be two noob collectors that are willing to pay over the odds as they think he's super rare as he's not on the poster ha! I see this often with new MIMP collectors on eBay, paying stupid prices. Unfortunately, a former member here seems to take advantage of that by setting ridiculous BINs and waiting for the noobs to roll in...

Here's a bunch of stuff nobody asked for:

The guy that is currently winning the auction we are all talking about is also the high bidder on the other SC lot currently on eBay. If you look at his account (or at least what we are allowed to see) he has 8 bid retractions.

That reminded me of the SC auction I bid on a couple weeks ago. It was a fairly large lot with an un-highlighted SC hidden in one corner. I was watching it and before long it went higher than I was interested in paying. Then out of nowhere it dropped $30 or $40. It was because someone had retracted their bids. Then a day or two later they rebid - back up to what it was before.

I contacted the seller and asked about it. I didn't realize a bidder could retract then just rebid with what seemed like no repercussions. That doesn't seem right. The seller said that they also didn't know that could be done, but clearly wasn't concerned. (probably because it had driven the price up)

I forget if this guy won that auction, but at any rate, they seem to either be looking hardcore for SC, or maybe hoarding them? Their style is to bid dozens of times in small increments until they get the high bid.

So... yeah. Whatever that's worth.

Thank you

So I thought this auction would be worth mentioning:
http://www.ebay.com/...redirect=mobile

Big lot with Satan Cross over in the corner, not mentioned in the description. By my estimation, it's worth maybe $85 - $95.

It sold for about twice that amount.

I bid early, but I was not willing to chase it past the $100 mark.

It seems as though you are right. I am now the highest bidder at $27. The high bidder must have cancelled his bid.

Yep there's plenty of people who bid and retract just to get a feel for the market. Annoying, but eBay won't do anything about this so we have to deal with it.

He retracted his bid on this auction 15 minutes after he won the other one. (the lot that Smotemotem linked to)

He's hedging his bets by bidding high on everything then backing out if he no longer "needs" one or more of the things he bid on.

As an occasional eBay seller, I would love to know this guy's full account name so I can block him. Would the owner of the SC auction referenced in this thread be willing and able to share that info?

Thank you

I know Im late to this party, but wanted to chime in. THis is called Shill Bidding. Its basically when someone you know bids on your auction which already has bids (on purpose), until the price goes up just past the last bidder's highest bid was. Then your friend retracts their bids and you are left with the highest bid from the original bidder. Pretty shady and against ebay policy and actually illegal I believe, in some places. Not cool.
