I decided to drop by my local Super K the other night. Much to my surprise, sandwiched between Bakugan and Ben 10 Alien Force was a good selection of Gormiti. Represented were 4packs, 2pack, 10packs, Volcano playset, and series 1 action figures with repaint figures. It's odd however that the 2packs and 4packs were series 1 wave 1 at full premium prices. I last saw these over Christmas on sale at Marshalls, TJMaxx, and AJWright, on discount. Before that they were released in January 2009. Kinda strange. The 10packs, at least, were of series 2 figures. Attached are my cell phone recon pictures. I guess on the bright side, now we have another retailer carrying Gormiti besides Walmart, Target, and Toys R Us.

I just visited the nearest Target last weekend (it's not that close, so I rarely go) and their Gormiti selection was a paltry four Series 2 two-packs. The Walmart next to it had nothing but full-price Volcano Mountains. And my local Walmart hasn't carried anything since that one time I said they did.

Haven't been to Kmart in a while, so here's another reason to check. But, not getting my hopes up.

Wow, full price? At least Kmart's stocking them. There's only one Kmart within driving distance from me and their action figure selection is sparse. I'll have to go check and see if they have any.

Hopefully the lack of stock at places like Target and Walmart(My local Walmart's been stocking Series 2 Wave 2 for a while now) means Series 3 is on the way.

That's awesome news! Maybe I have a chance at getting all of those pesky, series 1 repaints after all.

That is EXACTLY what I am doing! I never had Solitary Eagle and now I have him in his "atomic" color and regular teal and white. I also got more of the Tree and Sea people in their alt colors. I got them in the K-Mart in Penn Station, NY. the 2-Packs were $8.19. Wow. Expensive, but K-Mart was never the cheapest route to go. At least they had many of the Series 1 repaints/alt colors that I missed and wanted.

I finally hit my Kmart today after work. Rewarding in a lot of ways, but the most surprising part was seeing Gormiti on the shelves! My dinky Walmart is actually carrying them!

They had almost ten of the two-packs, three four-packs, four of the five Series 2 ten-packs, and the action figures. The Series 1 stuff was naturally Wave 1, so not much of a help for my collection. It did mark the first time I've seen the ten-packs, and it was cool that the store had a nearly complete set of Series 2, only missing the pack with Carrapax. The action figures were $9.99 and the most tempting, but the paint apps on the Gormiti minifigures included (you know, the main reason anybody buys the figures) were horrible. Maybe I'd go back for Polypus or Tasarau. Gheos was long-gone.

Prices were not too bad. Like I said, the figures were $9.99. The ten-packs were $19.99, two-packs were $6.99. The four-packs might have been $9.99, or $12.99? I forget. Was cool seeing Gormiti locally again, and knowing that somebody had bought a few already.
