Thought I saw a thread about these already on here but did a quick search and didn't see any results so it must have been somewhere else but any fans of the old Dino Riders figures needs to get out a pick up some of the new Imaginext Dinosaurs. Not the ones they did a few years back but a recent wave just came out and they are basically cooler looking, sturdier versions of Dino Riders.

Toys R Us has all Imaginext buy one get one 50% off this week so it's a great chance to pick these guys up. I wish there were more of them in the series and I'm definitely hoping for a second wave.... too cool!!

Yes, Imaginext has a ton of cool toys, especially the vehicles. There's a thread over at OT about toys that work well with Glyos, and there are several really fun Imaginext toys that would work very well with any minifigure toy line.

I love the cartoonish style of the range.

Eeh, in my day, Fisher-Price toys would NEVER have had guns on them.

Still like these though :D

Hey good gravy someone else likes these aside from me.

I posted reviews over on Toy Ark they are great toys, still got to get the Triceratops, teh Pterodactyl is the stinker of the bunch.

The Apatosaurus was my first not Dino-Rider, from what I gather Mattel absorbed Tyco RC or was always part of Mattel which means if they took over Tyco years ago as well they should have the DIno-Riders intellectual property.

http://www.toyark.co...views-feedback/

I have 1 of each and 2 Raptors to back up my T-rex.

Any idea why the Stegosaurus from the new line got cancelled? It was up on Target's website for a while with a pic but was always listed as sold out and I've never seen it anywhere else, even on Imaginext's website or store!

Didn't know there wasv one, I think it is odd that the Apatosaurus is the only one in it's size class maybe the Stegosaurus was going to be the other one.

I understand the T-rex being alone, but it's odd that the other price ranges have multiple figures except the Apatosaurus.

So I was in K-Mart and apparently they have an exclusive that has a green repainted raptor with the same armor as the original with a blue repainted Pteradactyl with neon green shoulder pieces.

Oddest thing I never knew these toys had exclusives.

Also, Khols has exclusive medical Imaginext.

I work on this line last year at Fisher price. The inspiration did come from Dino Riders. The designer in charge of this line was an 80s toy nut. They were originally called Dino-Tech but for some reason the name got dropped. Probably marketing. Most things I see went wrong I blame the marketing team.

The ankylosaurus had a much cooler weapon in the prototype I made but that too got scrapped for cost issues. It was a spinny thing. Similar to the weapon Heman had that spun when you twisted his waist.

It's always been on Tagret's website ever since the line came out, but never available to purchase like the other Imaginext figures. How do you know it was put out early at Walmart? Did it have a Walmart exclusive sticker on it? Can't wait to track one down, I wonder if there will be any other new dinos released with it?

Great find mate!

I dont have the prototype. That was scanned and modified in 3D by the engineers there.

I have no knowledge of future releases.

Im waiting till they go on sale then Im just gonna buy the whole collection.

I guess I kinda miss my opportunity with the whole black friday thing. oh well.

I tried to scan it and it did the see associate thing on the you scan, then the toy lady had to enter the item into the system to make it scan.

If Items aren't in the gun or system they have usually been put out earlier than the modular drop they are supposed to be with and don't have a tag because you can't print one if it's a non confirmable item.

It was on the Target site, but I think now is the only time it had an actual image.

The first time I went I don't think it did, here's lookign forward to more evil dinos they are greatly outnumbered.

Still got to make the review, one odd thing is that they sculpted a whole new seat on the side instead of reusing the mold from the Triceratops and Raptor seat.

Oddly enough I still haven't bought the first dino I had seen that got me interested, still no Triceratops yet but already got the new guy on the block.

Sweet deal! I wonder why there's been such a staggered release on these. Just as the Stegosaurus and Dimetrodon are starting to show up everywhere a new dino appears. Guess I can't complain about them adding to this collection, just seems like strange timing. Hopefully there's even more in the works!

My eldest daughter, yes daughter... absolutely loves, loves, loves, loves these. She wants them all, but that isnt going to happen :) She already has 4 or 5 of them.

The only ones she doesnt have are the t-rex, dimetedon, ankleosaurus, and the new raptor looking one that is like bright green and Orange... she REALLY wants all of them.

The big blue one is her favorite, she carries that thing around on every trip we go on. It is by far her favorite toy.

Picked up a new set today at Wallyworld since they just went through their Holiday reset. Pterodactyl & ATV! Has a very Flinstones vibe, will try to get some pics up by the weekend :)

Just saw that there's a whole new wave of at least 5 new dinos coming soon. Saw the first, the Apatosaurus, at TRU today and the back of the package showed the rest. Can't wait til the next B1G1 50% off sale!
