Interesting.  I don't pay a ton of attention to bootlegs but I cannot say I recall seeing a brown one before.

Sorry to necro up a sold item, but does anyone else who is familiar with boots know how common a color this might be?

I have 3 that I'm almost certain are from the same "release." My guess, which is just that, a complete guess, is that they were made for vending machines. Similar to this one they all have an original body with an original head but from 2 different figures. They are also smaller, probably from a recast, taking the two, bashing em together and recasting them. Mine are orange, red and brown. Can post some pics tomorrow if anyone is interested.

I really like this figure. If whomever grabbed it gets sick of it for whatever reason I would gladly take it off your hands.

^ pretty much

Yeah I have some in my bootleg collection, not sure which all ones. Thought I had a green one as well, might be from another set. Check UofM, Frankenstein-like-amalgam figures. I think bootlegs, and completely off the wall oddball figures are my favorite.

I remember getting these in a 6 pack.  I still have this one in green.  They were typically sold in the party favors section of the store if not the toys section in the mid 80s.

Yea, over at UofM there is quite a bit of information available along with some really nice pictures (including some still packaged).
