Hi guys,

I got inspired by the BA project, and thought I'd post these. I've had these on my hard drive for about a year.

I haven't had much to contribute lately, and thought I'd put these up so that people don't think I only sell stuff here.

One of my clients is the design agency that did the original packaging for the Beastformers line.

I got to hold pretty much all the package art in my hands. Of particular interest is a couple of unused versions,

in the last pic.

Please don't repost these, or send me messages asking to sell them. They're not mine to sell.

I know you aren't selling, so I'm obviously not going to ask you to sell these to me.

But what I would give for one of those things! They all look so good, and crisp! This must have been awesome to see in person.

Awesome, thanks for the addition Andrew, it´s much appreciated!

Was this design agency directly related to Takara or was it hired to make these drawings back in the days like Hasbro did with hiring external artists?

Any dates or other facts you can remember related to these? Based on the Serie 1 BB it would seem plausible these were some early designs but looking at the Serie 2 Beasts in there that doesn´t make a lot of sense. Looks like most of these were used for the Golden Cards that came with the SD beasts!?

They were a different company with strong ties to Takara that were hired to do the art.

I don't know any dates or facts about them, as they were just lying around their archives in an envelope.

Imagine my surprise  when I came across them, although they had a lot of art from other series there that would surprise you as well.

I don't have access to it anymore, as I finished my work with them.

The variants were probably just rejected versions, as happens a lot in design work.
