I went to the post office today with a handful of packages and got a surprise!!

The bottom tier of 1st class package which used to be $2.67 is now $3.

So if you guys ship the occasional small packages of LRG's (like 1-4 MUSCLE figures)?  The price jumped to $3.  I don't know what other tiers are affected - I'm sure that's a google away, but I'm tired an going to bed.

Just a heads up for all!

Good night ; 0

I think they also messed with what classifies as First Class. I shipped a 15 ounce package the other day, which used to push beyond the limit of First Class and jack the price up.  And somehow it shipped First Class and was not too bad in price. So hopefully maybe they balance the bad with the good a little?

Getting sick of constant rate increases.............

Yeah, I got murdered at the PO yesterday. I am so far behind reality in my ability to estimate what things cost to ship.

Thank you

Wait, what? AGAIN?

EDIT: upon doing further research, this increase appears to only affect First Class retail rates (purchased in the actual post office), not postage purchased online. If you haven't already, it really is worth it to get a simple shipping scale to weigh and print postage for your packages at home.

Yeah, postage purchased online through Paypal's click and ship (and I think USPS.com) nets you a better discount. 4 oz packages are in the ballpark of $2.60, 8 oz $2.77, etc. Won't be long though before they raise online rates too.

The cost of domestic postage these days in general is unreal and a large part of that is because we subsidize imports from places like China. At least that's my opinion.
