I loved them when I was little I loved those guys but now the only ones I have that are in working order are a complete Bull and a Daral missing his Monkey Masher oh yah and a boxed Slick god I want to open him. I just wanted to see if any body rembered them.Also dose anybody know where I can find some place on the net were I could find some for sale?

Wow I got a ton of em. I dont rememeber which varients of each I had, but it got to the point like most toylines of being sickening and I stoped. They even made badguys at one point AND one episode which I have .

I really like the BULL guy since he was one of the few that didnt explode. It was him and one other good guy. As far as baddies, none of em did. I have the truck, plane, two cars (maybe three) a cannon the dog, cat, baby, and a ton of others. I think I could still have the packaging for the truck, but who knows. I think I cut the back of the cards out and saved them (i did that with most of my toys like G I Joes etc...) I really diged that line and I am not missing that much actually, only afew people. Oh that reminds me of the midget with stilts. There was afew of them but I think i only have one. I didnt get the last wave of figures because it got really rediculous then. Thanks for the memories and yes I do still have them but I dont think I will sell, but i dunno. Check ebay and yahoo for them and good luck.

I can only think of 3 that I have. One in a Grey Jump Suit, one in a blue jump suit, and one of the baddies.

some of the names I remeber where vincent, Darryel, Chip, Dent, (either chip or dent was the one with the stilts Max)
I have a ton of others plus a sealed one that was a Canadaian exclusive his name was Pitstop (i think)
plus i have all the bad guys with there changable arms and legs
I have the red car the blue car the taxi cannon the plane dog cat probably some others

lots of them they where great for wrestling figure street fights

My favorite was still the truck, I would just roll it and watch it flip over. Couldja get a pic of the canadian exclusive? Im just currious (if you still know where they are).

I have most the facts about Crash Dummies. The first two dummies were Vince and Larry, they sold so well new dummies for added Daryl, Spare Tire, Skid the Kid, Bumper and Humcat along with two cars and two motorcyles and the Crash and Bash Chair and Crash Test Center. Tyco was almost sued by the pepole that made the public service commercials because Tyco used the likeness of Vince and Larry. Tyco fix was simpil Vince was turned white and renamed him Slick(my favorite) and Larry was then changed to purple and renamed Spin. Tyco then released the Student Dirver Car with Axel, Dummie Mower, and the Dummie Go-Kart with J.R. Also in Canada Darvl was rereleased in blue in some tirestores and his name was Pit-Stop. Later they were released in protect suits with the return of Slick, Spin, Daryl, and Spare Tire with new comers Bull, Chip, and Dent they also got a plane a bulldozer two new cars Bull's Truck and two new motorcyles. They now also came with wepons. New bad guys called the Junkbots Pistonhead, Jackhammer, and Sidswipe they were lead by Junk Man they got a canon a junkyard playset and a motorcyle. Then a new dummie named Ted was released with a video along with a purple Junk Man. I don't know much more because they never got the newer ones but I know Axel and Skid the Kid made a return and Daryl's girlfriend named Darla was realeased and I know of a raceing version of the dummies. So all I know about the third ones is I would love the have some.

Wow, thanks for the info. I have the red and blue cars, when they released them more and more in other colors, i didnt get them. I think I have only one of the motercycles (maybe two), but otherwise I have everything else (as far as transportation). I dont have the playsets, I forgot they had them till just now. I do have the chair, another cool thing i forgot about. Only one of mine is somewhat broke, you have to jab it in afew times to get teh limb to stay in, but otherwise its good. Thanks for the info! How much do these things go for? I remember all the names now that you mention em, bull is still my favorite. They also had a farmer dude on a green lawnmower (which I have) and something else. That farmer dude didnt sell well, i remember when I was little always seeing him there. Wow, the memories....


BTW I dont think thats the canadian exclusive since I think i have that unless mine was purple, I cant remember.

its the same figure just repainted and a diffrent name the first color was Red they both dont break apart there heads just go up

I am thinking mine is purple, I dont know why.... Maybe I am thinking of the stupid fat one. I never liked it because it looked like it was going to throw up once you hit the button.

No! I just remembered there were afew figures with taht function. I have 2 and I didnt continue to get the line but there were some with neon colors too (when they did the whole bad guy good guy shtick.) One had no sleves, another did have sleves. The red one had no sleves, the other i cant recall. I really want to look for these guys now. Tis not gunna happen for awhile.... Talk about blanking out on what I have. Thanks for the refresher once again.

I had Spin and my brother had Slick. He still has his Slick figure. My Spin broke though, but his figure is near mint. They were very delicate. I remember looking to see what held their arms and legs on and it was only two tiny wires inside the torso, which easily bent. They were still cool though.

Those wires also cut through the plastic pretty quickly, thus permanently breaking joints.

I had four of em and the baby, cat, dog and the car. They were fun, but they would never stay together. If you left them alone for awhile, one of their heads would just pop off out of nowhere. They were still pretty neat though.

I never had any of these guys, but I DID have the Slick vs. Spin boxing thingy (like Rock'em Sock'em Robots). It's fun as hell.

Does anyone know if this was the only full toy line based on characters created in commercials?

Didn't they also have a cartoon? I know the PSA were live action.
I'm pretty sure I remember a cartoon & thus the toy tie in.
I think the toon was CGI also.

As I stated above they had one episode aired on TV. Some of the figures came with teh "official tape" but I got it off of fox with my VCR. They played it i think 3 times with a year to seperate the first two airing and i think it was afew years later for the third and final time, but this is from memory. They had a video game tooo. I dont know why the line lasted so well as it did, honetly I thought i was the only one who had them. For me none of them broke except one and I never had these issues you guys had. I also was a weirdo when it came to playing with toys since all of mine are in perfect condition and the only time something broke was because of how it was stored with exception to recently where I have done things. I was a freak when it came to toys and I collected them when I was little, moreso than play with them (except my favorites). After each time I played with them, I had to make sure there wasnt any paint damage to them and if there was the slightest mark i would go nuts. Yea I was a werido with my toys, still am but not as bad. Now when I say I would go nuts, it would be a self mental thing not an outload tantrum. Still it was my own doing. Least ive learned not to do that again.

Haha man, this topic brought up so many memories... Those guys were loads of fun to play with. I remember having a fat one and one of the pets. Pretty funny because I would make em fight vs my transformers. I never got tired of seething those guys explode.

There was also a Viewmaster Reel set. I have it, but one of the disks is REALLY scratched up!

They were great, but far too fragile- the joints would genuinely break after a little while.
