I'm am real happy just to see the guy get back in a ring!
Miss seen him on WWE but it's understandable why he left.
But UFC I don't know if it will go well for Punk but that guy is always full of surprises, can't wait for his first match

Great publicity for UFC either way it goes. Not sure what Punk is capable of, but I expect he will get an easy opponent in his first match.

If they signed him there is a plan. He trains with Ryron and Rener of the Gracie Break down on the regular. Not sure about his stand up. We know his cardio wont' be an issue.

I love that fight fans are talking about this is the thing that saps the legitimacy from the sport, completely ignoring the Ortiz era, TUF (aka "The house where grown men bicker over food and piss on each other's bed"), the constant PED scandals, the Jones/Cormier press conference brawl, or any time Dana shoots his mouth off about anything. I also love the argument that Punk will somehow be bad for business, as if Michael Bisping has ever been good for business.
Punk is 0-0... True... But all that means, is that his record is transparent to the fans. Other guys come in with a 10-0 record, and quickly get revealed to be glorified can-crushers.
I don't love or hate the move, but I do think the fan reaction has been ludibrious at best.

Also, remember: This is an organization that paid Kalib Starnes to... Well, whatever it is that Kalib Starnes does.

I think he will be ok. Although he stands a good chance of losing his first match if he goes against a solid veteran fighter as was the case with Brock when he went against Mir. Punk will probably be more impressive to watch come his second fight. Also JDF has been challenging Punk as a way to try to get himself into the UFC now that Punk has gotten in. I don't feel JDF is really a proven MMA fighter (1-0) doesn't really amount to much, which is probably why he isn't even in the UFC, but his argument is that neither is Punk yet he manage to get in. I think pairing them up for a match although gimmicky to some, would really bring out the winner as a true contender to compete in MMA.

Green Ranger had four amateur fights, too (total record of 5-0, 1-0 pro), but yeah, that doesn't mean shit. Dave Bautista won a cage fight, but when you see it, it's nothing to brag about. JDF is absolutely trying to shit-talk his way into a payday, but frankly, I'd rather see Punk actually fight a guy that has experience but is just breaking into the UFC... If that guy beats Punk, at least it's helpful in creating a new marketable quantity.

Does JDF get to call on the Dragonzord in the fight? Maybe Rita Repulsa can be in Punk's corner?

I mean, there's part of the thing: Just because somebody was something before they fought, doesn't invalidate that they may be good. Shit, they might be bad.
If anybody else started off doing investment banking, and then decided to pursue fighting, we wouldn't be talking about this.

I seen footage of JDF fighting, check YT, he looks suspicious to me though. Like one dude slammed him hard (but anybody can take one good slam to convince the audience it's a legit fight), a second later JDF gets an arm bar submission. The match is like a minute long in the first round. Then he acts like it was the hardest fight of his life. Just seems fishy. He may be knowingly calling Punk out expecting Punk to refuse because he doesn't have a current UFC contract or ever fought for them before therefore they can't face each other. What I would like to see is Punk totally put JDF off guard by accepting, but I think (like JDF), it isn't going to happen.

I just want to chime in with this pic from JDF"s clothing line "Jesus Didn't Tap" something about Christ in an Armbar is incredibly funny to me.

He has a point.

For anyone to think Punk actually doesn't deserve this opportunity is out of their minds. Aside from proving he's a tough son-of-a-britch in pro wrestling, the guy is a Muay Thai expert and has been training with Gracie Jiu-Jitsu for over 2 years. Nate Diaz and any other UFC fighters who have a problem with his signing are just experiencing a little thing called "sour grapes."

Nate Diaz has a big giant stupid flappy mouth.
Sorry.
Don't really care about CM Punk, one way or the other.
I just can't stand Nate Diaz.
It is fun watching him get smashed in fights though. Bet he's still limping around after that last fight.
