Just watched the latest episode last night... just curious if anyone else is watching?
 
Yeah, I know it really hasn't been all that great, and at times just plain dull... but they seem to really be ramping up towards the end of this season and I'm hoping that everything up until now has just been first season blues.  
 
So any complaints that anyone has... I'll probably end up agreeing with.
 
It's no where near as good as Arrow, but I still want to see AOS succeed if for no other reason than I think that the audacious attempt of Marvel/ Disney to have and maintain a shared universe between both Television and Film is just plain AWESOME.  
 
Ugh - but man, that Deathlok costume is BAD (and not bad in a good way...)!

It's certainly gotten better since the mid season hiatus and the fallout from Winter Soldier finally has the show feeling like it's about spies which was really lacking earlier on. I do worry that it's too little too late though as various comments I've read over the last several months suggest that the show has been losing a lot of viewers. The biggest problem for me though is that it's just really hard to actually care about the characters. Firefly it ain't.

The series has been kind of slow, but still an interesting watch.

I didn't even think about the spoiler factor.  I'll make sure and not put anything out there too spoiler-ish...

Yeah, it has been dropping in viewership.  I think ABC has already agreed to at least a second season, so hopefully it picks up steam... maybe this will turn into something where if they improve the second season, that it will pick up new viewership.  They get a boost when they tie it into the movies.  Although, the "tie-in" into Thor 2 wasn't much of a tie-in.  Cap 3 tie-in is much more robust and show changing... maybe they are learning.

 

However, if this show is an example of the Marvel TV Universe to come... makes me a little worried.  Because I can only assume that the 3 or 4 new Netflix shows that Marvel is working on will have smaller budgets than AOS.  I don't want them to look even more cheap than AOS lol...

I was about 8 episodes behind, so I watched them all a few weeks ago. I have to agree with the consensus that it improved significantly as the series continued. I am quite looking forward to the next series now that the kinks have been ironed out.

 

And I actually did start to care about the characters.

Series improved but overall if Marvel wasn't so invested in it then on the chopping it should have gone

It definitely lost viewers as the season went on, but it's still a modest hit. Just not the monster hit that they wanted it to be. If they keep the budget under control ( which given the tie ins and all that I'm not sure is possible) they could have a strong genre show that picks up new viewership over time... And proves to have a loyal fan base. Of course it all comes down to the dollars and cents - but marvel/ Disney has some long term vision with this one which is in itself kind of refreshing.

The distance between the first half to the second have of the season was great...

Now to geek out a bit... Did anyone catch that episode where Deatlok passes through a X-ray and you see his image... And it looks just like the classic Mike Zeck design for the character from the 80's? Metal plate I the head and missing nose and all... SUPER COOL nod to the FANS!

Still think Deathlok looks dumb though.
