Battle Beasts Series 2 Complete Set MOC

Best Answer Beastformers , 25 July 2015 - 04:02 PM

Nice, and looks like you have a couple more there as well ;)

When it comes to the prices, as always condition is a crucial element and in this case it looks like all of them are in a real good condition without any pricetags on them and even the thingy´s on the head of the cards for hanging them in the store displays haven´t been punched out so you might be pretty close getting a near perfect rating on those (of course in case the detailed pics need to show the same).

With that said there´s something strange going on in the MOC Battle Beasts scene lately with some insane prices as you already noticed yourself. It´s not clear what is causing this and there´s even thougths of them being scams but it looks like there´s some collectors out there willing to pay more than top dollar for them so for you it might definitely be a good time to list these in the hope you get the same fish to bite as he seems to be hunting for mint condition cards. Normally these go for around $75-$150 maybe a little more if they´re in real good condition but that´s sort of the normal price range you´ve to think about. The last period though you can say those prices have doubled or even tripled in some extreme cases (if these were indeed valid sales...).

Don´t want to go blind on those recent prices so I´d say if you stick within the $150-200 range each you should be pretty close to their current value which means the set of 12 Cards (holding all 24 different Series 2 Beasts) represents a value of around $1800-2400. And in case the recent prices are true it might be even double that...

When it comes to packaging its important to use enough bubble wrap obviously and to take care that the bubbles from the cards themselves don´t damage each other so you might stick with the idea of how they were distributed back in the days in which they all stand straight up in a box and with the bubble hitting the back of the card in front of it etc. But packing a set like this will for sure require some attention and the same goes for the shipping company to ship them with since any damage done is a loss.

Hope this helped a little, good luck.

Im looking for some opinions on what this set might go for today. I'm a long time collector of things, and im getting ready to liquidate 90% of my collection.

I would like to apologize for the phone pic. My good camera decided to stop working. Ill get some better ones up as soon as I get my camera fixed, cuz I know you all want close ups :D

This is a complete set of series 2 figures. All the cards and bubbles are in perfect condition except one corner of one card. All cards are un-punched. I would expect them to recieve a 9.5 if graded.

I just looked on ebay for the first time in a year or so, and to my suprise a few went for OVER 400. Im speechless, Is this typical of late? Im used to seeing them in the 100-200 range.

Any tips on packaging and shipping would be appriciated as well.

Thanks!

Hi there. Nice set! I would say $200 each is pretty expensive for them though. I've seen the later series Laser Beast 2 packs go for $400 but not the standard Battle Beast ones. The regular ones are usually from $50-$80. Maybe $100 for mint unpunched ones.  Whatever you do sell them for, it would be a shame to break up the set.

thx beastformers and grencats for your input.

sorry 108, I only have what you see.

I am approaching the high prices with cautious optimisim. I have seen a lot of rollercoaster rides in my years as a collector. So only time will tell whats going on. I thought maybe they were rare figures or had something to do with the sunburst.

Does anyone know if these cards will fit in star cases?

correct me if I'm wrong but I seem to remember that same seller selling some of the same carded sets later

looks like any that were won by the low feedback bidder showed up again a few weeks later

so that accounted for half of those high prices, someone bid without intending to buy it and drove the prices up

still that other person must have really wanted that one for that price (he also got some he missed the second time around many for $60)

So the difference between a $60 card and a $432 card was one bidder with no money

like shadow bat posted these shouldnt be going for over $100 tops and that's for rare variant pieces.if it gets up to the $220-275 range that's for carded shadow beasts.who ever this new buyer is on eBay that keeps paying obscene prices for standard pieces is driving battle beasts sales through the roof and giving people the idea that we will pay those prices so i believe so many new items are being listed right now cause sellers see theres a market at the moment.but this buyer keeps winning every auction for over $200 then he doesn't pay for them.the items get relisted a few weeks later than the same buyer buys them again for less.i didn't even think u could re-bid on an auction that got cancelled cause u didn't finish the transaction the first time and Wth all these open and resealed MOC cards lately i wouldn't judge ur prices on these.as mentioned the prices are all over the place right now but in a few months they should settle back down once everyone is broke and has all the pieces they need.i know I'm spending mad money lately cause everything is popping up geez!
