Hey everyone, first time here, had some questions, hoping you all can shed some light. I come from the 80's, grew up on the best era as far as toys go. Had many MUSCLE figures growing up but the one I always remember is the claw. Fast forward to many, many years later. I was at a swap meet or thrift shop, cant remember. I found a bag of MUSCLE figures, maybe 50 or so... for a few bucks (awesome, huh?) Well, it went into storage for many years, here and there I would find them, still in the grocery bad they were originally found in. Well, finally moved one last time into our current house and there I laid the bag, in one of my rooms.. for the past year. Today, for some reason, I started browsing the Bay and saw these guys on there, Noticed they were still pretty popular, so decided to go get my bag and go thru them. Well, why am I telling you all this? Well, I found.... a Purple Claw..... I dont know too much about these figures, yet, but Ive read that the purple claw is the most popular one out there. Wondering what you all thought. Do I own a holy grail of M.U.S.C.L.E figures?? Thanks ahead of time! Oh, and yes, it has the mas the Y/S marking on it. Pictures attached, flash makes him look a bit blue, but he is purple.

50+ figures for a few bucks? Well done!

Purple claw is definitely a desirable figure, to be sure. I'm no expert on the non-flesh color M.U.S.C.L.E.s, but I'm sure someone more qualified will chime in here soon enough with some info for ya.

Any chance you could post a group shot of your grocery-bag-full for us to gawk at? :)

Thanks! OK, sooo, here ya go.... just counted them, looks like I have 90 figures... wow! Heres a shot of what I got. The bottom row are some soft bootlegs and other figures that came in the same bag. See anything interesting, let me know! ;)

That's a nice haul! & it looks like you've got a Battle Beast Wolfgang Walrus in there to boot!

In my cursory glance I don't see anything exceptional besides the purple Claw, but, as I said, I'm not well-versed in which figures are rare in the various colors. You'll probably get feedback from more-seasoned members of the forum when there's more traffic. There are some really cool knowledgeable folks here!

At 90 figures it looks like you got yourself a heck of a good starter collection for a few bucks!

I'm pretty new to the forum myself, but welcome, and thanks for putting up the pics!

Yep you've got an awesome piece and one of the most, if not the most, desirable Muscle figures around. You will sell it for $$$ no problems.

Ha yeh it does often seen the way! I've found that with MIMP too - I've foun a few solid pieces over the years, but the people that find the random series 3s tend not to be collectors

Just FYI - I'm pretty sure you have two M.A.S.K. figures too.  They are next to your Battle Beast.

I'm still trying to figure to figure out what the fleshy figure with the sword is in the lower right hand corner... anyone else got a guess?

They are too busy fighting each other to the death over the scraps. Maybe if MUSCLE collectors went back tot he practice of HELPING each other out, instead of knifing each other with a bunch of weird ebay stalking?

Yep!

There are literally only 4 people I know on the board, here- That DO help each other out.  Most others seem selfish and hoardish.

One of the first topics I posted when I joined, was a "help me complete my muscle colors" topic in Need Toys section.  I don't think I received one reply.....I posted pics of all sculpts I needed to complete, and nobody helped.

Thanks for the replies! Man, do I feel lucky! Ill attach a picture of the bottom as requested... this is the only part that I see that has some "imperfections" but almost seems factory to me, idk. As far as selling, well, havent decided on it yet. Im a collector of many 80's figures, so this might be a start of another collection. I am trying to read up and catch up on M.U.S.C.L.E info, this site has alot of info, so glad I found it.

Could you take a picture of the bottom of it?

I added a picture of the bottom. Curious as to what you are looking for? Thanks!

A full flesh set I'd say is worth around £180 (not that I'd sell mine for that though ;)) so you'd have quite a bit left over to buy other stuff if you sell a purple Claw for say £300+

The flesh set will come a lot more easily than that claw. Be wary of anybody trying to convince you to part with it.

Send me a PM with your address, and I will send you a handful of MUSCLE figures to help start you on your way. I more or less got out of the hobby due to all of the vultures.
